The staff were very helpful and nice! The rooms are dusty, and the water was cold whatever i did. Tried pouring some hot water to take a bath, but it was actually really cold. Then when washing my hand i burnt my hand in the sink. Is there no midway ?

My annual location for business event. It is a great hotel located in a wonderful city. Access to park for a morning run is great and all of the restaurants nearby is an added bonus.

Worth the 4 star rating. Spacious clean rooms with all the amenities you need, like a desk, two comfortable chairs, a network connection and a minibar. For whomever likes it, even a small pool. However, in my opinion overpriced. So look for special offers on the internet and enjoy the good quality of the hotel.

Nice, somewhat modern rooms, style is debatable, a good TV with screen mirroring is not. The best thing about this place however is the service, staff may not always agree with your wishes, but will take care of them nevertheless. Bed is very hard and most likely the worst pillows I have ever slept with. Location is nice. A few things within walking distance. Coffee in room. Mini fridge, small bathroom however clean. No a/c. Old style room key. Hammock not setup. Yard is peaceful.

Decent stay for a cheap price. On the first morning all doors were locked at the agreed breakfast time (7:30), and even after 8:00 there was no one to be seen and the reception closed albeit within regular opening hours. So breakfast had to be taken elsewhere. The second morning everything worked fine.

There was no Wi-Fi in the rooms. The room was next to the luggage elevator, so the noise from the elevator running every morning was very loud. The room was cleaned every two days. The surrounding area was very quiet; the only sound I could hear was the church bells.

The single room is probably from the 70s or 80s. The bed wasn't very comfortable. The bathroom, however, was spotless and newer. The room for 70 to 80 euros without breakfast is overpriced. There are better deals around Frankfurt that include breakfast for that price. We're talking about weekends, of course.

Keys and service are available even when arriving late

Perfect place to stay: clean, quiet, comfortable and a very good price. The staff were very friendly and the buffet breakfast at €6 was very good value. I love this hotel and have stayed there many times. Everything is clean and people are friendly. Plus this hotel is situated right by the old part of Bad Homburg which is lovely. The breakfast is wonderful and everybody is helpful.

A great place for its price It’s a great place for its price. A lovely location in the woods. Great for a relax walk in the area. Super clean. Very friendly staff. Good breakfast too. Twenty minutes walk to downtown. The only down side is that if you open the window, sometimes, a fly can come in because a horse stable is right next to it, but you won’t smell the horse. And I like horse :)

Had a pleasant stay. The room was spacious and had all you need in a hotel room. LOVED the shower. Defently the highlight of the room. Great breakfast, and super friendly staff. The downside is that there isn't elevator and we had to go through quite a few stairs on our way to our room, and back so be prepared.

The location is perfect. It's close to S-bahn and to the park with Elisabeth spring. Very wide choice of food for breakfast, though not too tasty. But hotel room is quite old fashioned and bath is too narrow, so uncomfortable to take shower there.

During my visit to Bad Homburg to see a friend, I stayed there for one night. I must say, it was truly a peaceful place. The spacious room with a balcony，the garden enveloped by trees, added to the tranquility of the experience. The breakfast, though simple, was plentiful and all the products were of high quality. The Hotel Sonne is a simple hotel, but clean with everything you need. A good breakfast is provided, but no other food is available, so don't expect to eat here in the evening. This leads me to the biggest downside of the hotel - it's located away from the town centre so there is very little in the surrounding area. However, overall I would recommend the hotel.

The room was fine. However, it was very impractical to have only one key for the room, esp. when the room is on the 3rd floor. Frequently, one of us would have to walk down and open the door for the other. It should be possible to obtain two house and room keys when checking in.

A small and cozy hotel in the middle of town. The room is decent size, everything is clean and simple. Receptionist is very kind. However, there's some noise from the outside street and no AC in the room. Also, there's no kettle in room for tea or cofee and the wifi sucks. But Overal its a good budget option.

The staff was very friendly. The receptionist patiently explained to me that they could not do anything about the corrupt state tourist tax. The room was small but clean and I was able to relax there. The location is relatively quiet. Luckily I arrived by train and bus and not by car, because the parking situation is not so good there.
