The Waldhotel Bad Soden is a quiet, clean and modern small hotel in a nice and quiet neighborhood. The single room I had - with balcony to the park side - was cozy. The breakfast buffet was good and the personnel very friendly and service-orientated as well.

The room is small but tasteful and cozy. Very nice to sit on the balcony and see the trees, listen to the birds, very calming. The bathroom is smaller than usual, with option to "fold" the shower to make it smaller when you don't need it.

Maybe it is a matter of managing expectations, but I never knew hotel rooms this small existed. Very small twin bed, just enough room to walk around it, and small bathroom that doubles as a shower. To be fair, it appears that the other side of the hallway had bigger rooms, but I was not so fortunate. Better than a park bench for one night, I suppose!

Nice and comfortable. The only issue found was with the bathroom space that could be bigger or better managed.

Good value for money. The hotel is overlooking a quiet park. It seems to be family-ran. The service is typical-German. Good, no nonsense, clean and efficient. The breakfast buffet is also typical German: good quality, modest choice. I'd happily stay here again.
