Perfect place for me to land and get a nice quiet rest. The bar was a plus too as business trips can really take a lot out of me. The themed hotel made it feel like someone cared. You don’t see hotels in this price care about design features for their guests. Best part though was that the room was clean and comfortable. Staff were friendly and even helped me find a couple or resources I needed but not being from the area didn’t know where to find. I’ll definitely book this hotel on my next trip through.

The rooms and people at reception are nice, but we had a very unfortunate incident. At 08:50 in the morning a man started aggressively knocking on our door shouting something. We woke up panicked and scared, opened the door hesitantly and the man standing there was shouting repeatedly “housekeeping”. We said no and closed the door. We could then hear the man proceeding on banging on all of the doors with the same attitude and question. For the next 30’ there was a lot of loud talking in the hallway. This incident really shook us as we were two female travellers that felt stressed and unsafe, while also ruining our morning as we could not continue our sleep. Highlighting that check out is not until 11:00, this was unacceptable.

We arrived at The Darmstadt Hotel at about 5:30pm. We were given a room at the top floor with views of the Darmstadt city centre in the horizon – unblocked to a certain extent. Also, we were given a small glass of Darmstadter – a beer brewed by the local brewery, as welcome drinks. Love it...

The hotel is at a very convenient location not only for the city center but also for local transportation. Staff is friendly and ready to assist if there are problems. Rooms are comfortable and silent. Breakfast is excellent with a great variety. Internet in the room was rather weak.

Very kind service and we felt very welcome arriving in this hotel. Rooms are clean and have all the equipment needed, especially for this price.
Hotel is dog friendly!
If you come by car, you can park here for a very reasonable price… however, be prepared that entering the garage is very tight!

Lovely staff and service. The double room was comfortable and a good size with a good size bed. Nice modular wet room style ensuite. Only 10 mins walk from Town centre.

There is no water, no slippers, no kettle, no toothbrush, no soap, etc. in the room.
