This is a wonderful hotel. But consider options of you’re looking for a vibrant location and entertainment offer as this is my only limitation of the hotel.

There was little shampoo and a cobweb in the room; in the evening we didn't know when, where, or how to use the map.

We were there for one night, the staff was friendly and welcoming. It was cleaned properly. The rooms were quiet and cozy.

Staff and management were very nice and helpful. Rooms were very clean except for the carpets. I would definitely stay here again .

A economical choice The room was large and comfortable, with good place to put my own belongings. The surroundings was quite good, lots of restaurants and stores nearby. Parking was free and easy.

Summer trip for daughter's wedding! Our trip was good. The breakfast served was excellent. Service was very good. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Wished there was a phone in the room. Also wished signs in the hotel were also in English.

First impression was good. However, several things here and there created a rather uncomfortable stay. The construction around the building was rather distracting. Our floor was extremely warm. We had A/C in the room which shut off every two hours, making it rather uncomfortably warm during the night. We were provided with a small fan which was covered in layers of dust. Centrally located hotel with an inviting lobby featuring a fireplace. The room was very large and clean. The breakfast was very plentiful with a wide selection. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We would be happy to repeat our stay.

Nice hotel. Building is old (but renovated), thus the rooms are smaller than newer hotels. Hotel has very limited parking, one usually has to use a nearby Parking lot (building) a block away. Breakfast was reasonable.

I stayed here for 1 week. Nice clean room room service was really good. Breakdast wqs also goood but its location right on the main road is really disturbing because every time some big vehicle pass through while building start vibrating cant sleep easily. Although Setvice was really really good every one was really welcoming and helpfull

The room is spacious. The beds are ok. Bathroom shower was small and did not drain well. The room was a little dated. It is a short walk to theatre and city centre. The staff were very nice.

I had a large room with windows on two sides, with a window in the bathroom as well. All was quite clean. Breakfast was ok, although the choice was not so wide, e.g. there was no lactose free milk.

Fantastic service i had a problem with my card and wrote an email and within 10 minutes i was called back and the problem got solved one hell of a service, the rooms are very cosy and beautiful and the included breakfast was delicious. The place is central to all the viewing points Gießen offers and most points can be accessed within just a few minutes. I can recommend this place to everyone.

Nice place to stay when you are in Giessen. Near the city centre and with nice restaurants in the region.

Friendly and very professional welcome. A beautiful, spacious room with great comfort. A work area with free and fast Wi-Fi. A generous breakfast with quality bread. Free garage in the courtyard with easy access. We will be back.

We stayed at the Parkhotel Sletz for a weekend. The bathroom and room were spotlessly clean. The staff were very friendly and the breakfast was excellent. The rooms are newly renovated and have good flat-screen TVs. The location is ideal, on a quiet side street.

Clean and well-maintained hotel - recommended A clean and well-maintained hotel centrally located in Giessen. Very accommodating staff. We had a spacious room, which was quiet and peaceful. We parked the car in the courtyard which was safe. Plentiful and tasty breakfast. We will stay here again, can definitely be recommended.

The hotel is a bit dated, but the staff and cleanliness are excellent.

A great place if you want to stay in Gießen. The personell is very kind and helpful and always good fo a chat and laugh. The breakfast was fresh and tasty and available starting from 07:00. If you should need a nice recommandation about the area nearby just ask the owners ;) If I should visit Gießen again, I would not hesitate to book this place again.

The B&B is currently being renovated, which is important. It's quite worn and our room didn't smell particularly fresh. However, the bed and bathroom were clean. The carpet definitely needs replacing. The reception staff were very friendly and helpful. We didn't have breakfast, so we can't comment on that. The location was convenient for us, and we can recommend the restaurant "Zur alten Renate".

This hotel is perfect for 1 or 2 nights sleep. Its easy to book ( you need a credit card ), rather clean with small rooms but also an in-room WC and shower. Nothing more to ask for just 36 euros. I have to note that this is a very simple hotel and not for everyone. If you are looking for restaurants, spa, pools etc, then this isnt your hotel. Recommended for everyone looking for a cheap hotel to rest...

Just for one night sleep. Cheap small room with 3 bed, one double and one single over it. Bath separated from WC. Near the autobahn, you can esay check in(automatic check-in on the door) reception open only in the morning. You need your credit card to open the door or the reservation code.

Lovely room, wonderful staff. We were two hours early for check in, but they allowed us to store our bags while we explored Giessen for a little while.

Good value for money. A bit noisy sometimes but not bad on the whole. Great location - a short walk from the train station down one straight road and very close to the high street shops. Breakfast is basic but nice. Friendly staff, good shower and comfy beds.

A little pricey for what it offers. Clean bathroom, mini fridge and telephone in room. WiFi doesn't really work. I hated the carpet on the floor. It was disgusting because of the old stains. The owner should rethink the carpeting idea. Breakfast was poor. Not many choises and even though I was there early (08.00) all the bread and the croissants were already dry and hard to chew. The rooms are okay. But the kindness feels forced and the Service is neither timely nor helpful. At Breakfast the garlic wafts. Sure delicious, if one is already in the morning. I don't come here again.

Friendly staff until about 7 pm. Later check-in is difficult. Rooms are okay except for the old carpet. Bathrooms in rooms 22 and 24 are run-down; the one in room 24 is as small as a guest toilet. Beds are good. The street is noisy, and there are only three parking spaces in the courtyard (you should inquire beforehand). Okay for one night.

Everything was wonderful. The only small difficulty was check-in was a box on the wall that you input a code and your room key pops out. I didn't know to look for this and stood around in the entrance for 30 minutes like a dummy. lol

Very cute hotel stayed four nights for a business trip. Was very quiet, had second floor with balcony. Some sites say it has AC, but the AC is a giant fan…I didn’t need it but just FYI if you are traveling in summer. Bedding could use a little upgrading with some newer pillows and covers; one was completely lumpy, one was feather and just went flat, then I asked for another and they gave me this weird...

Highly recommended. Good connections, lots of parking spaces (free of charge) and a good restaurant right across the street. The rooms are modern, spacious and also suitable for families (cots available, also kettles and bottle warmer). Elevator and air conditioning are also available. Very helpful & personable staff. Last minute walk-in due to my daughter was warded and surprised to find out that I found a heaven here in this hotel, the staffs are so nice, the breakfast were well spread and the rooms and pillows were clean and comfy. Very close to the Hauptbahnhof and a 10 minute walk into the centre of town. It was very clean and comfortable. Friendky staff.

Nice big hotel with good breakfast

I am very often in the year in Giessen, Germany, and the Parkhotel is a favorite in my Bed. Super Breakfast buffet, who complains there's somewhere else to be satisfied.

The rooms look cozy, the comfort rooms have floor heating. You get the nice view only from the older upper rooms. Some of the LED lighting make a bit noise but nothing too bothersome. The walls on the newer rooms are relatively thing, so you might hear neighbouring visitors slamming doors. Excellent food and beer! Beautiful interior in the restaurant! Service is ad-equate.

Very lovely place This was such a cute hotel. The staff was very friendly, and our family said the breakfast was very good. If we had one issue, it was that they are not staffed until your check-in time, so don't expect to be able to check in early.

Nowadays we book the accomodations in advance, looking for cozy, not too big hotels, and again we made a success: the house is old, modernized with taste. Our room even had a balcony, though the weather was not in favour. The beds were comfortable, as always in German hotels or Gasthauses. The small typical restaurant did not leave us hungry, on the contrary, and with tasty German courses.

Rooms are quit small, as well as the bathroom. You only get coffee capsules and water on your first night, there after it costs. Personnel were quite friendly. Breakfast not included but quite nice. There is a nice Stübel within walking distance. One can also enjoy a walk on the river.

Everything was as expected and the decor was very nice. The staff was very friendly. The only improovement could be softer pillows (they had a pillow menu, and we asked for a neck pillow - it was gigantic - not made for women.) The duvet was amazing and I used a corner for a pillow. I should have contacted the reception for another pillow.

Outside it has the look of a palace. Inside it’s quirky and modern. Very comfy. Loved it.

Great place to stay. Very nice food and a good 'Dachterrassensauna'.

Good breakfast. Clean rooms. The exterior looks very nice, as does the interior. However, the design of the latter is manifestly impractical: the showers are fully enclosed such that mold is an inevitability, but the bathrooms themselves aren't enclosed which again doesn't make sense.

The parking lot is extremely small and very difficult to find a spot. The breakfast selection is limited.
