This was one of the stranger experiences I've had. First, they charged my card €12 extra because we called ahead and told them we would be arriving a few minutes later than the arrival time we scheduled. Second, the man on the phone insisted on leaving our room keys on the handles of our rooms since no one would at the reception desk when we arrived. He sent the entrance instructions and code via WhatsApp. Third, the hotel was abandoned. From the time we checked in around midnight to the time we left at 7:30 a.m., we didn't see a single person. No one at reception (even though they charged us €12 to show up later), the restaurant was closed, not a single staff member or room cleaner in the whole place. No other guests seen or heard. The 4th floor balcony was deserted, and the breakfast room was abandoned (thank God we didn't pay for the €9 breakfast, even though it was offered online). The room was sufficient for sleeping (although not worth the extra €12), and I would not recommend it, especially if you're traveling alone.

I expected a budget hotel, that is fine. But standing wet in a shower with no towel is not part of a budget hotel. My partner had to grab them from the car. We also had no pillow cases on either of our pillows.

I was booked into a smelly filthy room with bag of insect infected old food packages, used towels in the bathroom sink, dust all over. Window left open prior to my arrival I believe to mask the smell, hence room stunk like a kitchen as it was right above the kitchen chimney. The room had no fan or AC unit.

This Sunset Hotel is located near Frankfurt Airport, with a nearby bus stop that can take you to the airport. Although it's not in the city center, there are supermarkets and restaurants nearby. It's quite a peaceful place.

The sanitation is very poor. The whole hotel smells of curry. There is no parking lot provided. But there are many free parking spaces around.
