Hotel Worpsweder Tor in Worpswede

When you first entered, you had a positive impression, but then there was disillusionment. The ground floor with the restaurant and bar made a positive and modern impression. We were greeted nicely, but nothing more! The standard rooms are not worth the money. The room doors are just a privacy screen, absolutely noisy and every movement in the hallway can be heard, no matter how hard the other guest tries to be quiet! Unlocking a room door wakes up the entire floor. Unfortunately, the breakfast is also not worth the money.
The bread and the mini rolls are typical baked goods from Resch&Frisch, of poor quality. We would prefer breakfast in the café, where the coffee is also better. The goods are not cooled and hygiene protection is a foreign concept. We asked ourselves whether this is even allowed!? The room where the buffet is located is so loud that we moved into the restaurant to have breakfast in peace, as they had invested in acoustics. Although the bar offers more than 70 types of gin, there is no description of any type. The wine on the menu is described in detail, as you would like, but Jan doesn't explain a gin that costs €10 or more to you. But there is an app for which tonic goes with which gin. It would have been nice if all 5 types had been chilled sufficiently, especially since we were registered with 24 people. It would also have been nice if the nut bowls had been refilled. If you have to ask for it with 24 people, then it's a shame that only 3 bowls were provided once, even though the boss was sitting in the restaurant and had a direct view of the bar. However, the 3 employees that evening did their best! Apparently there is also a strict tone towards the staff, as an instruction in the bar suggests (see picture) apparently also affects the breakfast service. You get your order, but no one talks to you. Hotel guests sat in the pavilion until 3 a.m. and drank their beer loudly, without even thinking about sleeping.
It's a shame, but it's basically so easy to make guests happy with little things. Annoyingly, out of the house with the location, there's a lot more in it. A pity!
