B&B HOTEL in Hamm

If privacy is a priority, this may not be the hotel for you. During our five-day stay, staff opened our door 3/5 times while we were in bed or sleeping—despite the *Do Not Disturb* sign. The last instance was particularly frustrating: a staff member entered at 11 AM, insisting it was 12 and that he needed to do his work. I pointed at his phone’s time that blatantly stated it was 11. Checkout is at 12. We have no obligation to leave early.

As for the hotel itself, it’s a decent budget option, but if you can, I’d consider other hotels next door. Our room wasn’t well-kept, with a large stain on the floor near the bed. I paid for breakfast, but at 12.50€/person, the selection didn’t feel worth it—especially with a market and baguette deli nearby in the train station. That said, the food was sufficient, and I appreciated the espresso machine. Just be aware that food is only allowed in the lobby, not in the rooms.

The staff were friendly, but overall, the repeated privacy issues and lack of upkeep left a lot to be desired. Rooms are small and straightforward. Expect a step above a Holiday Inn.
