Leonardo Boutique Hotel Duesseldorf in Dusseldorf

I write this review with some regret, as I had hoped for a different outcome.

We had reserved multiple rooms for several guests, totaling approximately €1,300. Unfortunately, due to unexpected circumstances and an unforeseen accident, we were unable to stay at the hotel. As soon as the situation became clear, we contacted the hotel to explain what had happened and respectfully inquired whether any flexibility or alternative arrangements might be possible.

While I understand that the hotel must operate within its policies and has its own constraints, what I found particularly concerning was that, after receiving a one-sided response from the hotel, the reservation was treated as canceled. As a result, we were unable to send any further messages or continue communication. Losing the opportunity to discuss and resolve the situation is something I find deeply troubling.

Ultimately, the full amount was lost, which was a significant sum for us, making this experience very disappointing. I fully respect that policies exist and that the hotel has the right to enforce them. However, I sincerely wish that, under such exceptional circumstances, there could have been some room for consideration.

I hope that in the future, when guests face truly unforeseen emergencies, there will be an opportunity to maintain dialogue and, where possible, allow for compassionate flexibility.
