This property was absolutely wonderful, out in the country with space between each house to go for a great walk but still feel safe. Woke up to a bit of fog coverage which just added to the ambiance. Only downfall was it was a bit difficult to find the reception office to check in. Breakfast buffet had so many options, and the staff was very friendly.

Very good location: 30min away from Cologne by car, in the middle of the mountains and near a beautiful lake. The room is very small, smaller than description, the heating is not like the rest of the high-end hotels, but heating under the window, there is no phone to call the reception, I had to use my phone and search for the hotel number through Google and then wait for the autoresponder, to ask them a question The fan has a thick dust on it, it hasn't been cleaned in a while

The hotel staff were friendly and helpful. The bedroom was spacious and clean with tea and coffee facilities in the room. The only downside was with the windows open we heard a lot of traffic noise . Room needed air conditioning as when we were there the temperature was 30 degrees - but there was an electric fan in the room.

Our stay at "Zum Schwanen" was amazing! The huge free parking just a few steps away on Schwanenplatz was a great convenience. Stayed single at this hotel in 1989 for a month and with spouse in 1991 for two and a half months. It was like home away from home for us. Managed by women team. We were allowed to cook our own food. Had an excellent time through. Hope to visit some day again for a nostalgic experience.

A all over really good stay, it’s a simple hotel, with simple morning breakfast, but the service from the reception is spot on, the hotel in clean, and really great for us that needs a simple two room for us and one for our kids. It was a to short stay so we had to order a new stay to be sure to enjoy all the great surroundings in Wuppertal. Looking forward to coming back again.

The hotel only provide bottle water once while you check in. We stay for 5 night and don't get any extra bottle water. There is no privilege for in and out parking for hotel's guest.

Unfortunately, it's not entirely wheelchair accessible from the parking garage due to a small staircase. Great hotel in the heart of Wuppertal with its own parking. Rooms are clean, spacious and recently renovated. Breakfast is plentiful and delicious. Entry is by key card only, which feels very safe. The criteria for choosing this hotel was that it was within walking distance of the train station. Downside is if you have the windows open you will hear trains. Breakfast buffet pretty good for a small extra cost

Very clean room, spacious and very friendly and helpful staff. Complimentary coffee was also an added bonus!

It's a shame there's no elevator, but it's still nice.

I personally prefer Tea & Coffee facilities in a hotel room, but there is free coffee available at breakfast Bar, Breakfast was 100% top class quality best I have eaten in any world wide hotel.

We booked the hotel because they have swimming pool. But when arrived was informed it’s broken and can’t use. If we knew in advance we wouldn’t book it. It would be nice to be informed in advance. But I should have also called and double check before booking it myself.

Very nice hotel perfectly located. Pond and terrrace is beautiful but we could not eat on the terrace…. Unfortunately the restaurant is closed mondays and yuesdays (the two days we were there)

Had a nice lunch here on Sunday. Authentic Italian food. Good service and a beautiful restaurant setting by the pond with swans and ducks and geese. The historic building and the restaurant inside are charming. The outside terrace is spacious. Adding pictures from the second visit. As good as the first time.

Very nice place. We rented the whole place for a little cafe after a funeral. The host was very kind and flexible.

Dinner was amazing, rooms are great, breakfast unfortunately was worse than at some 2* hotels i have stayed at. Very limited selection (only 1 sort of cheese, no fruit, no salmom, no bread only buns, no bacon or saussage)

Very pleasant received and the room was up to a couple of stains on the carpet clean. Some minutes secluded but a short drive in the midst of life. Mediterrana Sauna world is only 5 km away, highly recommended

Big room, slightly confused check in, but that is forgivable as they were very busy. Food was great. No mention of breakfast in the room on any literature but a functioning coffee machine.

Second visit. Here. We took the Hollywood room. Lack of closet space or space for suitcases. No fridge. Disturbing noises coming from the road... and upstairs. Woke up early, no heavy footsteps... Better to take a room on the 2nd floor. Very good restaurant... always exotic. It remains a good address.

Great rooms designed with an ingenious motto! Standard rooms are a little small, but lovingly furnished with an eye for detail.
