+++Location is incredible. Spa is amazing.

—-Our room was meant to be with a garden view but it turned out to be with other rooms’ balcony view. No AC, not even a fan.

The hotel and wellness area are very nice. However, the restaurant is a big disappointment. Service is chaotic and unwelcoming: menus, cutlery, and even parts of the order were forgotten. Food quality was bad: oversalted dishes and food served cold inside. I do not recommend eating here.

The hotel staff (especially in the restaurant) discriminates against people who are not German. We reported the problems encountered to the hotel manager and no goodwill gesture (except €6 for free parking!) was offered unless we came back to the hotel! We also had a problem with the curtains in the room (which are too small and therefore wake you up at 6 a.m.). The bedding is a bit hard and there is no headrest so it is quite uncomfortable when you want to read. Breakfast is okay but they do not restock and provide insufficient quantities compared to the number of guests. The restaurant staff does not speak English or almost not and is totally disorganized and disrespectful. There is a coffee machine but the staff does not want to use it to serve you (or at least not if you are not German!) (and it is not usable by the guests themselves so you are only allowed a coffee in a thermos). Paid parking (12€ per night to be close otherwise you have to park at the entrance to the city and pay 3€ per night!). The hotel is also quite old and could do with a refresh and cleaning of the carpets on the 3rd floor (big stain right in front of the elevator). The area is pretty and full of other hotels, so avoid this one.

very disappointing. After checking by phone first for availability, I made reservation through their own website for a double room (me and my wife). Upon arrival they rudely informed us there was no double room available, instead 2 single rooms were offered to us. On my question why his own website offered a double he could not reply…
His immediate reaction: better find another Hotel (at 1930 hrs pfff). What a nice polite friendly guy. NOT.

We went to the restaurant today for Mother's Day. There was a four-course meal, and I have to say, we haven't eaten as well as we did tonight in a long time. It was delicious, beautifully presented, and at €49, a real bargain. Highly recommended!

We booked a double room with half-board for three nights over Easter. Upon arrival, we had to wait three hours for our room. It turned out we were assigned a single room. I tried several times to convince the receptionist that we had the wrong room (15m² instead of 26m² and a bed of 140x200cm instead of 180x200cm), but she kept insisting it was the right room. After 20 minutes, she lied, claiming she had called me the day before arrival and that I had agreed to the small room........????!!!!!!! According to the hotel, we hadn't booked half-board. After I proved we had, this was eventually corrected. The "cheaper" wines were out of stock at dinner, even though they are listed on the menu. The fish fillet was full of bones!! The next evening, when I ordered a 0.5-liter beer at dinner, I received a 0.4-liter one. The third evening, we had to wait an hour for the main course. The hotel couldn't handle the crowds at all. Far too few staff at reception, the restaurant, and housekeeping. The bill at checkout was incorrect. (Dinner was charged even though we were half board.)

After the change of ownership there is still room for improvement. Ms. Sartika from reception and her colleagues are very friendly. Our room was clean, the wellness area was good, breakfast was good and sufficient but there were not enough staff; the staff who served us on site were very friendly. You can see that everyone is trying hard and I also noticed what the expression "skilled labor shortage" means. My wife wanted to order a glass of Crémant, but the server didn't know what that was - oh well, it can happen. But I think that in time the Fürstenhof will shine again in its former glory like it did under the Häcker family - that would be great! We would definitely come back if there was an offer like the one from Hotel.de.

All great. There is a dense senior population. Very friendly people. If you have a kid trying to enjoy the pool, you can feel complaints. Finally you are obliged to sit at the restaurant that owner “orders” you, or else faces change. In this respect I feel a bootcamp here…

Amazing hotel. Old style luxurious hotel, everywhere you look is decoration, marble, etc. The service is polite and quick. Everything is clean, breakfast is perfect, dinner in the restaurant is a bit overpriced I feel.
They have private parking spaces, a nice pool (open early morning until late night), good sauna (open 13:00-late).

Friendly and welcoming staff, comfy rooms, great breakfast buffet and delicious dinner. We also loved the in–house swimming pool. Our little daughter was welcomed everywhere and cared for beautifully. The owner lady was on site daily and very hands on. Very nice stay!
