Modern, 306 room hotel, located directly on river Rhine in Cologne-Deutz, offering a spectacular view of the famous Gothic Cathedral of Cologne and the old city. The hotel features Regency Club, 2 restaurants, 2 lounges and bars, a health club, indoor swimming pool and extensive meeting facilities. Many of the spacious guest rooms overlook the Rhine, Cathedral and the old city. Opened in May of 1988. The hotel has 6 floors.

As a Globalist, I was upgraded to a suite overlooking the Rhine — every evening I would sit by the window and watch the bridge glowing under the sunset. Those moments alone were worth the stay.
Breakfast was exceptional, both in quality and variety, easily among the best I’ve had in Europe. The staff were genuinely warm and attentive, creating a sense of welcome that felt effortless. The complimentary minibar in the suite was a thoughtful touch.
The pool may be small, but taking a swim while the city slowly woke up felt refreshing and serene. Hyatt Regency Cologne has that rare combination of great views, excellent service, and true comfort — a place where you don’t just stay, but linger.
Breakfast was exceptional, both in quality and variety, easily among the best I’ve had in Europe. The staff were genuinely warm and attentive, creating a sense of welcome that felt effortless. The complimentary minibar in the suite was a thoughtful touch.

Awesome stay! If you have the points, definitely choose the Club Floor. It's only 3,000 more points per night but an excellent value.

I was fully satisfied with our stay at this hotel everything from start to finish was great!
The location is simply unbeatable, offering the most stunning view of the Cologne Bridge and the Kölner Dom. Waking up to that skyline was a real highlight of the trip.
Our room was spacious and comfortable, and we especially appreciated having both a shower and a bathtub separated, a small luxury that made a big difference. Inside, the hotel is modern, clean, and well-designed, creating a welcoming atmosphere throughout.
From the outside, the building might not be the most eye-catching, but once you’re inside, that really doesn’t matter. What counts is the experience—and this one truly delivered.
The breakfast was very good as well, with a nice variety and quality that set us up perfectly for the day. All in all, it was a great stay and I would definitely return without hesitation.

I stayed here with family in May 2025. We were checked in by a lovely lady, Isabelle from Brazil, who was very kind and welcoming. We were given upgrades on both rooms and offered complimentary breakfast as members of the loyalty program. The stay was wonderful and the views of the city and the Rhine just amazing. Coincidentally, Isabelle also checked us out after the stay and again, we had a very nice experience. Definitely a great place to stay!

The room is better than expected, and the facilities are well maintained. Before checking in, I wondered if this hotel was very old, after all, it has been open for so long. I didn't expect it to be so good. The bathroom is also very large, and the bathtub and shower are separate.

The hotel is in a very good location, right by the river, and you can see the iconic church when you go out, which is especially beautiful at sunset. It is worth noting that if you get off at Cologne Central Station, you need to walk to the hotel from the bridge, but this also brings an advantage, that is, quietness and safety. You must know that the area near the train station is always full of dirt and crime.

Hyatt delivers, and as always this is not an expectation. The building and facilities are phenomenal. Our room (king bed) was looking slightly dated but not in bad shape at all, and overall it was large and comfortable.
We were kindly offered a very early check-in (I know this is subject to availability), however this was very appreciated as we arrived after a travel day and were very tired. The staff we dealt with were all kind and welcoming.
The amenities are great, and the hotel is in a good central location. I would happily come again.

Older hotel. Rooms need some upgrades. Bathroom sink and shower have 2 separate knobs for hot and cold water, which I think is inconvenient. The knobs in the tub shower need to be turned in different directions startling with either scalding hot or freezing cold water. Air conditioning was not that great either. It took well past midnight to get the room cooled down enough to sleep, for both the nights we stayed there. Otherwise, clean and tidy room.
However, the location was a big plus. Right across the cologne cathedral, on the Rhine river, with great views of the Cologne city and the cathedral. We enjoyed a glass of hot chocolate in their Sticky Fingers restaurant while savoring the view of the beautiful cathedral. Have to cross the river on the bridge to get to the other side of the city where the Christmas markets are.
