Hotel Garni Cafe im Hamm in Zell an der Mosel

This is such a stellar place to stay. It is a quiet hotel not far from the town of Zell and sits on the Moselle. Each room has a balcony and are very nice. The renovations they did are within 10 years I believe and they did a very nice job of renovating. We stayed in the suite and it was a large one bedroom with a full and a half bath. We had a lovely large terrace on the top floor that overlooked the river with a table and four chairs with cushions. Breakfast each morning is served down in the café and it really is very European setting. They have outdoor tables as well. Breakfast was ample with a variety of choices and I loved how they gave you your own carafe of coffee if you wanted it! It would’ve been nice to have a small refrigerator in the room, but that is not very common in Europe to have with a hotel room like it is in the states. They have a selection of beer and wines for you to choose from if you’d like to purchase for your room. If we return to Zelle, we will definitely stay there again. The owners are hands-on and friendly. Their son, who also work there, was very nice… He helped us out with our BMW’s GPS language settings. It was also good to see that many Germans were staying there and seemed to be returning guests, which says a lot. Also, they have ample electric outlets, and the bathroom was large with a toilet and a bidet. It was very clean and comfortable. I thought their pricing was a great deal for the suite and the quality of accommodation.

Everything was excellent.
For us personally would have been nice to have a fridge and coffee machine in the room. Besides that everything was perfect

Absolutely stunning private patio overlooking the river.

We booked this hotel for one night to enjoy a wine festival in Zell and visit some of the local wineries. Staff was extremely friendly, room was very spacious. View was incredible right on the river. Free and available parking right out front, very good continental breakfast and it was 15 minutes walk from the heart of town.

We definitely will be staying here on our next visit to the region.

Wonderful hotel with friendly staff. A view from the balcony outstanding. Self service fridge on the lobby was spot on with local wines. Highly recomended experience.

Gorgeous small hotel set on the river in a beautiful location. Staff were very welcoming. Suite was immaculate, stunning views from balcony, spacious and modern. Honestly bar for drinks but no snacks available which was a shame as supermarket was not close. There was a bakery a 20 minute walk away. Breakfast was continental style- really good selection of bread, fruit, cheese, meats, yoghurt etc and a lovely terrace to eat on. Would recommend this hotel and will definitely stay here again when we return to the area.

Excellent stay at this property. Breakfast is excellent. Parking is easy. The only thing I would add is tea/coffee making facilities.

It’s such an amazing place for a coffee and cake right by the cycle track on the Mosel. We have been here before and it’s always a highlight of our trip. Service very friendly.
