We are on the way back from Poland to Switzerland. We stayed one night in the hotel which we found in TripAdvisor. The room was big enough, clean and everything was working. The Internet (Wireless) was good. There are parking slots close to the hotel and we were lucky to get one. The staff was friendly and efficient. The breakfast was good, nothing was missing. All in all a very pleasant stay in this hotel.

Not exactly a four star place, if even three star. Nice big old building, great location at Marktplatz. Lovely staff, courteous and helpful. Breakfast lady a gem. But: in dire need of some investment - since the last one must have been around 2001. Get an interior decorator, bring the place up to modern standards, put in airco and a working wifi ( this one is a dystopic erratic and sluggish disaster - if you have to work online, do NOT book here!!!) Breakfast could be a little more lavish ( don’t be stingy on the cheeses, boys and girls - and a little salmon would not go amiss) The pillows are a joke - no: let me rephrase that: an insult. Recap: nice, not four star, huge room for improvement. Price/ quality: hm - not great. Become a genuine four star place first- then justify this price.

An empty reception greets us at 19:00. We end up waiting 25’ to be given the key to our room as the receptionists is busy tending the hotel bar for the football match.
He promptly informs us that the hotel parking is overbooked and we won’t be able to park there. When asked where should we park he utters a “somewhere around” and leaves.
It could be a satisfactory answer if it weren’t for the fact only people with homes in Bautzen can park anywhere near the hotel.
After driving to park 0,5 km away, we are greeted by a poorly insulated, cheap chipboard, sad excuse of a room. With the radiators locked so they can’t go past 3/5. The slanted roofs of the miniscule room made sure we bumped our heads more than once, with neither of us being taller than 1.80.
Very unbecoming for a 4 star hotel at a touristic destination. As a recommendation, if direction can’t staff, both a reception and a bar, perhaps they should focus on the former, as clients may be in dire need of a rest. Of which they will find little in the very non-accommodating space.

Overpriced! No air conditioning in rooms so in summer you are pushed to open windows, which means noise from street and BELL FROM CHURCH all night, each hour. Drama.

Wonderful place right on the square. Very helpful staff. Lovely big room with high ceilings and nice big ensuite. Excellent buffet breakfast. We will be back.

Nice cosy hotel. Big rooms. Friendly staff. Mike at the front desk was very helpful. Great restaurants nearby. Close to the railway station too

Very conveniently located hotel. Right in the city center next to City Hall and the amazing old town. Comfy rooms, friendly staff and a great breakfast buffet. The only sore point was their absolutely flaky wifi, which was largely useless.
