Reviews
Rooms are small but practical (in line with the brand). Location is by one of the two main train stations and a tram line.
In the morning we found our car dented inside the hotels own underground parkinglot (which we understood was well lit and videorecorded). At the reception we're then told there are no cameras aiming at the cars or towards where we were told to park. Despite having pictures of the car that caused this and left (hit and run) we were told that police can't help since it happened on "private property"??? So if we get attacked inside your hotel, police won't help due to private property policy? Interesting...
Been then told to mail the incident to the hotel management but with no response in over one year.
Reason for 1 star service: After the incident, when we decided to involve the cops ourselves, one of the employee went by the car with a piece of cloth and wiped the damaged area, also partly hiding that it was a fresh damage made by the white vehicle. I'm not sure who exactly gave you the permission to touch our car, but we didn't!
I wasn't looking forward to leave a bad review but the lack of management aid to find the responsable driver (even with all information in your possesion) the lack of care from local police and the staff taking matters into own hands was a mix that led to a very expensive visit on our behalf.
We stayed with two larger breed dogs. The room was just enough space. We had a little nook that we added an extra blanket to for a dog bed as well.
The staff were phenomenal! They were great when I asked for an extra blanket and toothbrush. The room cleanup while we were out was very precise and considerate. The front staff were super friendly and loved the dogs and gave them treats. The continental breakfast is basic fare but convenient, but the seating in the lobby sucked when there were a ton of people.
The under bed lighting is super annoying turning on at every little movement.
The check-in was smooth and quick and the staff was super kind and upgraded us to a bigger room upon request. The breakfast offered a great variety of food and was very complete and delicious. What I appreciated the most is that the staff was always kind and smiling, especially Marina who checked us in! The location was also great as it’s a minute away from the station and 3 stops away from the city centre.
One thing that should improve is the cleanliness: the smoke detector in our room was full of dust around and even if we told it two times to the reception, no one did anything.
There was a coffee corner for Marriott Bonvoy members where we could get anytime complimentary coffee, tea and juice - this was very cool as there’s no kettle/coffee machine in the room.
As a frequent Moxy traveler this one was one of the best I stayed at in terms of service and experience, will definitely stay again!
The room was nice and modern. The bathroom was really small with a specific smell, so we kept the door closed.
The hotel is situated just 3 stops from the center, which is about 5 minutes. The tram stop is about 3 minutes walk.
In the evening we were offered welcome drinks and they were really delicious!
There is also a private parking which is 12€/day and if you're traveling with a dog, you'll have to pay 15€/day.
All in all, we really enjoyed staying in this hotel and we'll choose this chain again and again!
