Service was efficient and kind but is otherwise also quite absent, you check in and that's it. The kitchen is good, a little small but it's all that it needs to be. I think there is a restaurant in the garden which gets a little noisy, like the street. It's hard to describe the location because Leipzig doesn't really have an identifiable center, aside from a small shopping area in another part of the city. It's a bit between old fashioned decent and almost ghetto. There are nearby supermarkets and fast food outlets and event some pubs; one corner of a street on the way to Kaufland was almost lively.
Recommended for a likely short stay of 1 or 2 nights in Leipzig. Similar to other options in the city.
There is just a little bit of far from the centre but it's easy access to the tram.
So I would say perfect hostel.
Quiet, clean, lovely. Run unto solo travelers as well as families and big groups
The pub downstairs is great for those who love to enjoy a beer, but not loud at all for those who like to sleep early

Bad points: the rooms with windows to the street are really noisy, lots of ambulances passing by during the night. (I checked out because I couldn't sleep!) Fridge in the kitchen was dirty and stinky. In general I would not use that kitchen. There is no breakfast or lunch possibilities and in the morning you may have to wait a while until someone shows up to make coffee or tea. And the coffee is way too expensive for a hostel. The staff (although friendly) seemed unexperienced and a bit disorganized.
The hostel have a super nice atmosphere in it, everything is clean and comfortable, a lot of space, cool bar and garden, location is great in a cool neighborhood and big park, and really friendly staff :)) totally recommended!
