Best Hotels in Leipzig

I passed by Leipzig on a car trip and just happened to book a room at Hotel Michaelis. This turned out to be a very good choice as the hotel was excellent in many aspects. Super-friendly and helpful staff

The location of the hotel is very good, the rooms are big and comfortable, the breakfast is the best I've ever had in a hotel. There are two major problems though: first would be the lack of A/C in the rooms

Very good hotel with quite comfortable but also very modern and functional rooms, even if they are not very big. The breakfast is varied and includes the possibility of cooking your own waffles! The hotel staff is kind

The rooms on the lower floor get a bit noisy in the morning hours ~5-6am from the cars and loading happening in the street. There is no air conditioner- i imagine on a very hot summer night that would need sub ideal

The rooms are HUGE, comfy, and super clean. Staff is always polite and helpful, the food is great and the conference space is also very nice. It is close to the market, stores and restaurants

It was not the best stay e ever have had. The staff in the reception was not friendly - it was not possible to eat in the restaurant - and it was very difficult to park the car.

The room was clean, the furniture was well-maintained, and the hotel was in a wonderful, quiet location. The bar area was inviting and very cozy. All in all, I felt very comfortable in the hotel

We didn't have breakfast; you should plan ahead, as there's nowhere else to have a proper breakfast nearby, so you always have to go downtown. Getting there isn't a problem; the bus stop is just a few hundred meters away

Parking was easier on the premises; if it's full, there's also the hotel's underground garage. The reception staff were very friendly and helpful, and they provided all the necessary information immediately upon arrival

Quiet leafy area, easy enough to get to/from on tram(albeit 25min). Room was large, clean, bit dated, tv channels drifted in/out, but beer garden a bonus! Didn’t try breakfast/restaurant as Leipzig had more to offer.

Good transport access in tram number 16. Staff are very friendly, one receptionist welcomed when we arrived. Great views from the window. It was an excellent service for having a kettle in the room. Delicious breakfast!

The hotel is in a good location, the decoration style is very good, with a more industrial style design. It is close to the commercial district next door and it is very convenient for eating and shopping

We found everything at the hotel to be top notch. The rooms were the right size with comfortable beds. Nice shower and double sink in the bathroom a plus. The breakfast buffet provided a fine variety of good quality food

Appreciated the vegetarian/vegan options though did not need them. Located a short walk from the train station, center city and the zoo, the hotel provides a perfect place from which to visit Leipzig

Everything was great, the only thing I didn't like was that we went for a walk and when we returned we had to wait a long time with other guests for them to open the door for us because the receptionist was doing his rounds, and it was winter and nighttime

If your train arrives late or leaves early, this can be the best hotel, as you can reach the hotel within three minutes from the station exit. The room was simple but spacious, clean and comfortable

I had a nice and warm welcome and a very clean room.The bed was comfortable,but unfortunately it was pretty loud and I had to close the window at night.The hotel is providing earplugs,which is really nice.

My room was facing the street and the station, but I did not have any issues of noises. Maybe because my windows were all closed in winter or I grew up in metropolitan city?

We really enjoyed this hotel. It felt very modern and the room seemed more spacious than any of the others we stayed in. The staff is very young, but were very nice. Enjoyed the nice spread at breakfast.

There is a tram line on the street that runs by the hotel, but the stops are about 250m from the hotel in either direction. The area has a number of restaurants, mostly Turkish or Syrian cuisine

I loved loved my stay here, the staff is amazing, Alena was amazing, every encounter left me in high spirits, love the decor, simplicity, all the details. I will be sure to come back for the ddr Suite 💓

This is a review of the property as an art gallery. Focusing on Leipzig School works, and spread over the hallways of the five floors of the hotel, the Leipziger Hof gallery is quite enjoyable

The neighborhood has easy bus and tram access to get anywhere in the city / region. There are numerous food options in this part of the city, additional options are a short tram ride away

This is a nice, clean, professional, and affordable hotel with an attached restaurant and bar. There are many beautiful art works throughout the building and in the rooms

American travelers should know this is an older building and your room probably won't have A/C, but will have a fan. Shower water can be as hot or cold as you'd like

The location is not perfect (it's fine by the way) but is convenient, in great condition, super clean, friendly staffed and well maintained!

Wonderful! This was so wonderful! We arrived late in the evening and the number I called was answered by the most friendly person who guided us to geting the kry. The room was big and so clean

The tram connection into the city is excellent, parking either out front, or in the courtyard is ample and the rooms we had were very generously sized, with big beds, a soft and a table that sat four comfortably and six at a push, meaning we were able to enjoy a glass and a bite together at the end of the day

All in all, having booked a budget option that we were hoping would be ok, we got a great place we'll be very happy to visit again with wonderful staff, rooms and breakfast area

Its worth a visit just to see the breakfast room, which is incredible, with the cosiest sofa corner, great light from a tiny mezzanine with vines hanging down

For some it might be a hassle to tick the little boxes the night before, but you get exactly what you'd like and it saves on waste, which is fantastic

Economical out of town hotel Good if travelling by car, but a bit far out of town with only 1 bus per hour into the centre. Front desk staff not always available we had to wait for them to return.

About what you can expect from a 3 star hotel in Germany: average hotel with employees that don't speak or don't want to speak English. The bed was comfortable so we got a good night's sleep

Just sit at the Bar and want to have a Drink Jacky-Cola. With the Alfa 159 tbi, I can hardly drive in. The deduction of a star because of the staff. Got to critique an improvement. The Breakfast surprised me very much

The hotel is steps from the S-bahn station so it's very easy to get anywhere in the city but be aware that the street and tracks are noisy and as an older building there is no air conditioning

Bonus: free parking in lot owned by hotel. However not enough for every room & first come, first served. We were lucky to get a spot, so we kept our car there & explored Leipzig on their transit system
