What a fascinating property-a chance to sleep in a historic castle! The property has been well renovated: the rooms are large & have luxury features…..like heated bathroom floors!! The breakfast buffett was huge - I loved the festive tree-shaped scrambled egg molds. We loved exploring the common rooms & seeing all the historic furniture.

Our stay was great but room was hot not possible to leave Windows open, due to rain coming inside room. The area has things to offer for sightseeing but 1 full day would have been enough to explore anything near by.

Schloss Purschenstein has an excellent restaurant, with delicious food and generous portions, and a maitre d with a warm and jovial personality. We ate there on two nights under the chandeliers and the high ceiling, soaking up the historic ambience and the friendly service. We came here again after a year for our wedding anniversary and we were again very satisfied. Great value for the price.. Cherming castle atmosphere, beautiful room. There was almost empty wellness area and pool so we enjoyed it a lot. Also we had delicious dinner and breakfast and nice walk around the castle.

This is a charming place. We got the best room in the castle the suite and the room was big and beautiful. The whole castle is adorable. They have a sauna and pool then the big hall room where you have breakfast. Some of the staff was not friendly but the place was amazing. Highly recommended. Now the restaurant is underwhelming at best. Beautiful place but the service is terrible.

It was a hit here. Extremely friendly service. Not pushy but polite and attentive. And the food: I could have eaten the menu from top to bottom. I then decided on the roulade - a great choice.

We celebrated our golden wedding anniversary with family and friends here and felt really good. Very friendly staff. There is enough space for the children to play both inside and outside. The rooms are very nice. Particularly noteworthy is the gastronomy. The carriage ride in the pouring rain was also a special experience. We'd love to come back.

Very cozy restaurant with a great kitchen and amazing service!

We felt very welcome. The room was very well equipped. Everything was clean. The breakfast was excellent. There was a parking space for every guest. The location is great, as the house is situated on a hill and therefore not on the main road through the village. There was a small minibar on the first floor for all guests. We'll be back!

This hotel is charming. The rooms are clean and the beds are very comfortable. Tristan and family are both friendly and helpful. They go out of their way to take good care of their guests. The rooms are furnished with beautiful wood furniture. The Spa area invites you to relax. In the surroundings there are many ways to do something. The staff was friendly. The vacation in the Hotel was very very nice. The environment is Excel. Large offer for leisure activities. The Hotel and the staff I can praise in the highest tones. Wonderful place! The room was spacious and very clean. The breakfast was incredible! Location is down the hill from most shops but very walkable and we didn’t see any others closer. The difficulty is the drive getting to Seiffen. For us it was one hour of country roads one way and about an hour leaving heading to Erfurt. Well worth the visit. This hotel was wonderful and great value!

Rooms were clean. Staff was very nice. Stayed on a Sunday night, early October, had the saloon to ourselves. Very quiet and at the edge of town. Couldn’t log on to the wifi but had the data plan for my phone so I was able to survive :)

The room was big and nice but the shower was a problem as it wets the whole bathroom, making it a mess. It is conveniently located near the train station and a small mall.

Very nice hostel, everything new. We had booked 1 night online. Everything went well with the key. The reception is closed on weekends. The only thing is that the beds are very narrow

After 4 nights here I can only say: perfect! New rooms, modern furnishings, everything you need, a super clean bathroom and a parking lot right in front of the house. Big compliments to the operator family. Unreserved recommendation also because of the reasonable price for long-term stays.

We don‘t like chains and prefer a small family run hotel with German/regional character. Hotel Kreller is within easy walking distance of all this attractive city‘s attractions. A little old-fashioned, but clean and functional. The cobbled street makes the odd passing car noisy, but we slept well. The nice terrace at the back is shady and quiet. All staff faultless. Excellent steaks.
