Went here for a night after our holiday in Denmark. It's located next to the border and very easy to find.

The hotel staff was very nice and gave us a free room upgrade because they thought it was easier for us with a baby to have a room close to the pool and restaurant which was very kind and thoughtful.

The pool was nice but very cold, we enjoyed a swim outside in the sun but the water was just too cold to enjoy it for a longer period. The jacuzzi was very nice and warm though. It was great that they were welcoming to kids so we could enjoy a swim with our baby.

Amazing service both before, during and and after arrival. Lovely welcoming staff, beautiful room with very comfortable bed. Great buffet breakfast with lots of choice and all delicious. Will definitely stay again and recommend to others.

to expensive for what it is. the website claims its newly renovated but its completely run down. pool was very cold and the hot tub was not working. A naked confused man was walking for 10 minutes around the reception from the swimming pool with the staff just standing by idle and not intervening/helping

We booked the presidential suite. It was a very clean, nice and big appartement. Space enough! Big terrace. The building looks very old fashion from the outside but the suite wasn't old fashion at all. You still recieve a real key to open the door!. Parking in front of the hotel is free. Breakfast was ok!
The swimmingpool and sauna are very nice and good refreshment after long time driving.

A pleasant stay in faded surroundings.

With it’s location just south of the Danish-German border, it is convenient for road trips and short hikes - Wassersleben beach is within walking distance.

Overall, the hotel gives off the impression of having been left mostly unattended since Nixon’s visit in 1981.

That said, we genuinely enjoyed our stay.

The spa and pool facilities were the highlight. Clean, well-maintained, and a welcome contrast to the otherwise dated atmosphere. We didn’t try the textile-free sauna, but it deserves a respectful nod.

The included breakfast covered the essentials and was regularly refilled. Nothing fancy, but it did the job.

The staff deserves special praise. Friendly, helpful, and attentive. They lifted the entire experience.

Walkability isn’t great, and unless you’re feeling brave among fast-moving traffic, a car is definitely helpful.

All in all, a pleasant stay in a hotel that’s long overdue for a facelift, but if you come with realistic expectations, there’s still a certain charm to its faded glory.

OK for a nights stay
The hotel was ok for a nights stop. Check in was quick and professional. The hotel seems to have a lot of amenities although I never used any. Breakfast was the usual fare and seemed fresh and well presented with plenty of space available. At the price in comparison to other hotels in the area it
presents reasonable value for money.
