Holiday Inn LUBECK by IHG in Lubeck

Very close to the old town.
Hotel is very dated and the room has a musky smell. Not worth the price paid .

As we did some visits it was strategic in the right place. Other then that - fire alarm during the night, not working safe in the room - there are better hotels in Lübeck.

Okay stay, but noise was an issue
Recent stay at Holiday Inn was generally okay, but there were some noticeable drawbacks that impacted the experience.

On the positive side, the hotel's location was excellent, being very close to Lübeck's charming Old Town, which made exploring easy. The pool was also a great amenity for the kids, providing a fun way for them to unwind.

However, the most significant issue was the sound insulation. Our specific room was also very close to the lifts, which contributed to the problem. Conversations, footsteps, and other activities from adjacent rooms and the hallway could be heard quite easily. This made it difficult to relax and get a good night's sleep.

While the stay was not terrible, the noise level was a consistent problem. I would recommend this hotel for short stays or for those less sensitive to noise, but it's definitely something to be aware of.
