Where to stay in Lubeck

Very close to the old town. Hotel is very dated and the room has a musky smell. Not worth the price paid .

Very good location, 1.7km from city center, easily walkable from city center...car parking around hotel is free... also bus stop is just opposite hotel..

As we did some visits it was strategic in the right place. Other then that - fire alarm during the night, not working safe in the room - there are better hotels in Lübeck.

A very good high class hotell in a perfect location, close to the city centre. The room quality is very high. The staff was amazing... they really did everything to take care of us. The breakfast was heavenly good. It's a bit pricy to stay here, but if you want to spoil yourself, this is a good place to do it.

In our multi day trip around northern Germany, this was our favorite hotel. Fantastic location close to all of Lübeck attractions, great breakfast, comfortable bed, nice room, great service. Loved it.

Very practical location and parking facilities. The reception/lounge area very simple but OK. Rooms exactly as described, but the glass shielding of the the toilet/bathroom facilities are not “private” enough. Restaurant personal seems not educated and the wine/drink menu was only partly available. The chicken was not properly prepared. Breakfast was super.

Nice stay, but check inn took way to long. Newby? Nice, stayed at many HD inn express can’t say the check inn was express took +10 min, but overall I was satisfied.

Experience was mostly positive, only negative was we had a dirty towel hanging in the bathroom on arrival, but when we brought this to the attention of the reception staff he was very apologetic and gave us a drinks voucher with the new towels. Bed was comfortable, but the room was a little too warm.

The rooms at Ibis are spacious and comfortable.

This place is across the central train station but it managed to stay quiet. It is very close to a lot of the sight seeing areas and restaurants. Very convenient. There is also free parking if you are checked in. The interiors are modern and the rooms are clean. We were there as a family of 4 in Thier family room and it was just the right amount of space.

I was on a business trip, and everything was good except the noise. I heard the people in the rooms around me and the street traffic. Maybe it would not have been so bad if the room had a view of the internal yard. The location is perfect, and if I need to return to Lubeck, I will use it again.

The hotel is perfectly situated in the aldstat area. Close to museums, churches and restaurants. St. Petri church is next door - take the lift to the observation deck to see a beautiful 360 degree view.

We hade a lovely stay here! Located at the central station of Lübeck. We travelled with our dog and she was welcome everywhere at the hotel, appreciated that. Excellent breakfast, kind staff and a lovely hotel. Recommend!

Nice hotel, and nice service, friendly staff, but the distance to the center was further than I realized. Due to roadworks and roadblocks, it was a pain to visit the city, and a couple of bus drivers who were absolutely not helpful did not make it any easier.

Very large and well-kept rooms, great amenities, including a microwave and two hotplates in the room. The location is a bit out of the way (about a 45-minute walk from the center) but very quiet. A big plus is the public parking directly across the street.

I stayed at Tryp Hotel for two nights with my dog. Friendly, problem-free check-in, the room was very clean and furnished perfectly fine for the hotel category. Beautiful quaint hotel with excellent food and even better massages! We stayed in room 44 and the room was spacious and quiet. The grounds of the hotel are simply beautiful. Dinner was mouthwatering and breakfast although quite simple, very fresh and tasty. Our massage therapist was excellent!

We travelled from the US to this lovely country inn for a family reunion. It was wonderful. The staff was welcoming and helpful and the location so very peaceful and beautiful. There were beautiful grounds and the reunion dinner at the restaurant was delicious. Breakfast also had an extension selection, and everything was fresh and tasty. It's a beautiful property for a quiet rest, so long as you stay at the property as there is nothing else in the area within walking distance. Spa services were not as advertised, and had to be booked an hour in advance, and were not the same hours as listed - closing at 6PM instead of 9PM, with massage having to be booked even further in advance.

Nice quiet hotel . A really nice hotel , well away from the bustle of Lubek [so no walking in to town] offering excellent service but quite pricey ! A good place for a relaxing break or stopover [as we were] on your European road trip to or from Denmark. Surrounded by corn fields and gardens . Oh - I nearly forgot , they can’t spell Potato !

Been here many times now. Beautiful hotel with excellent service and the restaurant is serving amazing food and wine. Sitting outside during summer is great. Close enough to easy get to Lübeck city center as well.

Good location if you are with a car. Free parking on premises or the road. Booking directly is reasonably cheaper than through booking site. Beer house just 10 minutes walking - Where you should try DAB & wurst with curry.

A quiet, safe, and clean place to stay. You could also try to walk to city center if you don't mind walking for about 20 minutes.

The hotel worked out very well for us. We were travelling on so needed a hotel that was easy to get to by car with easy parking and the hotel was perfect in that regard. Staff were very friendly and helpful, and everything was clean and up to date with a large room. It's a little bit of walk to get into the centre of Lübeck itself, but that was a trade-off we'd already made when booking.

Terrific room, polite staff. I found the breakfast a bit boring but I'm also very picky.

1. We missed the opportunity to make a cup at coffee or tea at the room. 2. We find the breakfast a bit to expensive.

Lovely hotel with good access to old town. Single room expensive for the very compact room and bathroom but was very modern and nicely appointed. 20 min flat walk to rail station, bit far with a head wind and heavy luggage. No lift, steep stairs but staff help with luggage.

Friendly staff who helped to organize an ironing station, just a 10 min walk to the old town, modern bathroom although quite tiny, comfortable bed but “German” big pillow was too soft for my taste.

Room was spotless and comfortable - love the balcony and view across the water and the town.The main Boss chap (I think the manager or owner) was very polite and helpful, and his English was better than mine. I love the breakfast. It makes you feel very welcome. The hotel in general is very cozy and lovely. The rooms are on the smaller side but have everything needed and feel cozy as well. The location is quite perfect. I can imagine the hotel to be unfit for an any person who has problems with stairs since there isn't a lift.

This little hotel is a gem! We booked one night for its convenient location near the train station and relatively inexpensive rate and weren’t expecting much, however we were pleasantly surprised by everything here, especially the above average breakfast offerings that were included in the nightly stay. We liked it so much that we decided to stay another night.

This is a very good budget hotel and an affordable alternative to more expensive hotels in/near the city centre of Lübeck. We had the family room with a sofa converted to a bed for our son. There is a quick and frequent bus connection to the city centre. Rooms are equipped with kettle and coffee/tea. The road next to hotel is busy, but there is good sound insulation and darkening through electric window...

Nice place Good place to stay!

We had a good stay at the hotel, very happy with the place. The only real downside we experienced was the automatic check in - didn't work when we arrived. All we had to do was go to the hotel reception 50m and then we got checked in. The location itself isn't amazing, but it's walking distance from the Altstadt and parking in the garage was easy - and included charging for our EV.

Check in is supposed to be at a computer, but the supplier of this service is facing technical issues. Therefore, we were pleased that the very friendly staff at the Vier Jahreszeiten hotel was able to assist, also with replacing a broken shower. Despite these minor issues, a very comfortable stay to a reasonable price.

The hotel was clean and the room, just what I needed. It was confusing checking in with the kiosk, especially since I prepaid through *******. There is a sign that directs people to check in at the hotel next door and the front desk staff were nice and professional.

Affordable newly renovated rooms. Car parking nearby for a fee or park for free at Bauhaus parking across the street, the car can be seen from the hotel. Motorbikes can be parked outside the hotel which is not visible from the street, behind the stone fence, 2 motorbikes!

The room had a nice floor and the room was otherwise elegantly decorated and the bathroom had loose soap, a small bottle of shampoo, body cream and a shower cap which are no longer available in hotels, as well as a free bottle of water when I arrived...

THE place to stay in Lübeck Altstadt. Very cosy hotel close to everything. The outside and the inside is from the year 1216, but very modern rooms. Very attentive and kind personnel - feels like home. Breakfast is a bit sparse, but 100% organic.

I personally liked it, but there is a lot of room for improvement here as well. The room for improvement could be used creatively. There is quite a bit that can be improved immediately. Plants, especially more trees should be considered as a possibility.

Stayed there for a week, rooms were clean, only problem that I have faced with was language, they are not good at english, this was a bit problem for me. I could not understand how to enter to hostel, then I figured out using password allows you to get in.

Always clean and well ventilated rooms with beautiful modern design. The staff is very friendly and efficient. We were always able to enjoy drinks and snacks from machine (only coins are accepted). Really nice Service at the Restaurant

The architecture/interior design will leave you staring with mouth wide open-not exactly in a positive way. The building is a cube and inside there is a mix of medieval style furniture, Asian style, modern style and simply everything over each other. Room was very clean and bathroom was big, but the bed was making so many noises it was difficult to fall and stay asleep. Staff was friendly.

I had been this hotel last March and it was great pleasure to me. With a cozy environment and antic furniture, I could be relaxed as much as I can. I will visit here again with my family later. It also has wonderful restaurant in 1st floor.
