Das Frühstückshotel St. Peter-Ording in St. Peter-Ording

As mentioned by other people before, the customer service of this property is very poor. I am writing this review before potential traveling because the experience before arriving has been terrible.

We booked a stay via booking.com from September 10 until 15, 2021. Due to a short-term business meeting, we asked to postpone the booking or to find another solution that would be a win for both parties. We would have been willing to pay the much higher September booking price for a re-scheduled trip in November, when the place is not busy anyway - so the property would not have lost the money.

When asking for help and flexibility, we were told by the reservation manager that he "will not give the small finger because we will take the complete arm" (a German proverb for being abused). Interesting attitude towards customers - very uncooperative, even rude. Friends from the northern German region told us that such behaviour has become very common in St. Peter-Ording since COVID-19.

I also agree with earlier reviews that breakfast should be included in the rate especially when ap property calls itself "The Breakfast Hotel".

We are still hoping to find someone to take over the booking from us and if not, will have to travel there for the maximum time possible. Not looking forward to it though.
