Service was outstanding, from the reception till the kitchen, everyone was very friendly, the buffet in the morning and evening is delicious, a compliment to the chef ... meeting rooms are very big, and the lunch provided was very tasty. Looking forward to coming back!

Hotel in renovation and no reception !
The reception area was closed on a sunday 5pm? The hotel is undergoing renovation with fences all around and a portable toilet outside. Was not even able to get into my room. The phone number on the site did not get any response after dozen of tries. This is probably a good hotel during the school year since its close to the uinversity but for the summer it looks like I was going to be the only guest and was not even able to get in!

The Akademie Hotel is a small seminar hotel in Jena, very good reachable by car or tram. It's in the opposite of the stadium, parking space is for free. The hotel isn't the best address for romantic visits, but for business meetings. I was a participant in a business workshop, so I only know the seminar rooms, information desk and lunch. The seminar rooms are absolutely ok with a great welcome service. Coffee was always available, not only when we had a break. The service employees at reception desk are very helpful, professional and charming. Lunch: All workshop participants had a choice of 3 meals for lunch, which we ordered before lunchtime. But a surprise, we could taste everything, so I can suggest the lunch, too. Thank you to the service team of Akademie Hotel for their very good all-round service.

Location: 3 tram stops away from city centre. Service: 60 euro incl. Breakfast and supper. Good Wifi connection. Room: Typical and clean room.

Food is ok, free dinner....however Wifi connection very poor at the first floor, the small rooms are not a big deal, but the single bed is small and the pillow is thick as a folded towel.
