Hotel Westfalia in Halle an der Saale

DO NOT STAY HERE! incredibly rude and aggressive reception clerk. I was extremely exhausted and needed to double check the location I was in, before confirming my booking. When I cancelled my booking while I was sitting in the lobby to buy 10 minutes of time before my booking automatically locked in, so I could decide if I indeed wanted to stay at this hotel, the reception refused to answer my question about basic directions in the city from the hotel. Then after 5 minutes, he ordered me to leave the lobby while I was sitting there on my laptop trying to decide if I should rebook his hotel or another hotel with a better location for a concert I am attending tonight. I have never been treated so rudely in my life by hotel staff, especially when tired and wet from the rain. Only 6 pm in the evening. Ordered to leave, like a peasant simply because I needed 5 minutes to make a decision.

In response to his response below: Liar. Kicking someone out into the rain is the definition of rude. His response makes no sense. "..you didn't want to leave the house to renegotiate the price..." What does that even mean? Why would i want to leave the hotel, to go out in the rain, to renegotiate the price? I needed to sit down for 10 minutes to look at directions (the hotel is farther from the city center than advertised) and make sure I wanted to stay at your hotel. This is standard procedure, and the attitude of a good hotel should be: "sure, if you need 10 minutes or 30 minutes to sit dry and use the free hotel wifi while you decide if you want to stay in our hotel, that is perfectly fine, we just hope you find a nice place to stay somewhere tonight. especially after you walked for 20 minutes in the rain to get all the way out to our hotel from the tram stop. " Let me give you a clue, part of succeeding with a small business, is genuinely caring about people, which you do not! You only are kind to people when they are giving you money! Do not stay here! Vote with your money, and vote for people who are kind. I talked with another woman from the hotel on my way out, who was furious that the hotel website lied about its distance to the city center (saying it was 5-15 min walk, when really its a 12 minute taxi ride). Disgusting.

been standing at door to enter hotel for more than 40 minutes, no responds... if there was a zero star rating i would pick it
