Hotel Anixis in Naxos Chora

Had very atmospheric experience 🥰

We came from the ferry around midday on a very hot day.

Climbing wonderful little streets and stairs of old town, full of colourful bougainvillea flowers, we stopped every now and then to take a glimpse at something astonishingly beautiful.

After getting lost a bit we finally found the hotel Anixis.
Stepping into our simply but tastefully decorated white room with blue double doors to the balcony, we opened the balcony door and suddenly the wind and the sound of the sea came in ... and the BLUE view opened up coming through blue balcony railings.

Everything was perfect.

The location is unbeatable.
Close to the port and the center of old town with its little winding streets and excellent choice of restaurants, bars and shops of all kinds.

The rooms are very nice and spotlessly clean.
The bed is huge and comfortable.
(and I am very picky since having back problem)

The owners are lovely people, very polite and at your service. (we left our luggage at the reception on the last day)

We spent lovely 6 days here watching the sunset and sunrise on our little balcony and catching the sea breeze at night.

I would definitely stay here again and can’t wait to come back.

The hotel service is great. They allowed us to check in earlier and thwyare very friendly. They are willing to help and the view from our room seeing the water is magnificent. The room is basic but I still recommended it and the AC is powerful. Location is in the old town which is accessible to many places.

Excellent hotel, very clean, welcoming staff, beautiful location. Nestled by the Venetian walls in the heart of Old town, very charming and quiet at all hours of the day. Breakfast on the rooftop was delicious for 10Euro per person and the view is beautiful (fresh pressed orange juice a plus). It is in the old town so may be difficult for some to climb up the winding alleys and stairs and the property has stairs all around. But if you can climb stairs, please don’t be put off. I would return for sure! Super affordable

This place is a diamond in the heart of Naxos old town. Everything is perfect, the location is unbeatable, the rooms are beautiful and spotlessly clean and the staff are wonderful. I will never stay anywhere else in Naxos again.

The room is really cute and also super clean, the staff was really friendly. The location is perfect because it is really close to the port of Naxos, which means it is close to the bus stop and to all the stores and restaurants in Chora

For what I paid, I really can't find fault in this hotel. Nice room, nice bathroom, a comfortable bed and a smallish, but serviceable balcony.

It's, relatively quite high up in the old town with no vehicle access so you'll have to carry your own luggage up and down to the port, which might be an issue for anyone a bit frail or with limited mobility, but wasn't a problem for me.

Breakfast was optional, but good value

Amazing location, amazing people/ owners and service, views. The rooms are also very clean and the breakfast is PERFECT, handmade treats served on a balcony.
Do not miss this place - one of the best in Greece!

We stayed at the Anixis Hotel end of June 2022, did research and we were absolutely ecstatic with this great value find. The Hotel is very well situated in the Old Chora of Naxos. Everything and I mean everything is at your fingertips – Portara, restaurants, café’s, museums, the castle, boutiques to name a few. Dimitrios and Giorgos were helpful with transfers, luggage and pointed out beaches to visit to avoid the wind. All the staff are long term, with great advice on places to eat and things to do. Our room was very clean, serviced daily, with a balcony overlooking the sea. Breakfast with a view was prepared and served by Georgia (a very lovely personable lady) providing us with freshly squeezed orange juice upon our arrival. I would definitely stay here again and can’t wait to come back!
