Matoula in Acharavi

Would stay again. I had a room with a pool adjoined and it was lovely to have that private space and balcony. The breakfast options are extensive, fresh and tasty. The location of the hotel was good, near a bus stop, supermarket and on the beach. The grounds were well kept and maintained.

this is a lovely hotel, various buildings set in beautiful gardens and set around swimming pools. Building are 2 storey high. Rooms are well laid out and well kept. we went half board and had breakfast and dinner and stuck to the main dining room. the food was very good with great flavours and with plenty of choice. i would recommend this hotel acharavi village itself has supermarkets, chinese shops and a few restaurants as well as some boutiques. it is not a particulary attractive place and there's little to do if the weather is not suitable for sunbathing.

The pool area and the breakfast was great. The room was comfortable but relatively old. Too expensive for what is offering

Positive points: - staff friendliness really good - location is perfect, right in front of the beach - overall very good conditions of rooms, bars, restaurant To improve: - restaurant queue logic. Places with food should be in the middle of the room to allow access from both sides. This would improve time in queue for food - dining should end by 22h or 22h30, so that people can enjoy beach and sunsets peacefully - beach chairs should be included in hotel rate Weak points: - gym with no maintenance at all. Better not to advertise it or improve it. More dumbbells weight, maintain existing equipments - WiFi is very weak

The swimming pool is an amazing place to make friends and chill out! Getting Ice Creams from the bar and enjoying them with Family is such a great feeling! But don't forget about the tortoises on th inside of the hotel are just too cute! So definitely recommended! :P

Very good hotel. It's not a traditional hotel, more like a larger area with 2-3 story smaller buildings. It's well maintained, cleaning was daily, staff was good. There's restaurants and a shop on site, as well as 3 pools, 1 pretty big one. Room was big and quiet, couldn't really hear neighbors and AC worked great. Only two very minor negatives - - Wifi can be a bit spotty and weak, but generally worked ok. - Breakfast selection was on the smaller side and got pretty boring by the end, but good fresh food. ------ The bigger negative, not reflective of the hotel at all as that was great - is that the region, Acharavi, is a bit dead and boring. I'd go somewhere else if you're looking for more action.

I highly recommend this hotel for a relaxing beach vacation. The highlight of our stay was the stunning sunsets at the beach. The staff were very friendly, and the food selection was extensive. The only downside was that they charge an extra fee for sunbeds directly on the beach, but we didn’t mind that much, since the ones by the pool are free.

The pros: The hotel is very clean, quiet and well maintained. The rooms are nice and convenient. They contain everything you need: a small fridge, a safe, a hairdryer, a cattle etc’. The beds are comfortable. The food is excellent: we ate breakfast and dinner, both were tasty and diverse. The beach is beautiful and next to the hotel, it has sun beds (extra pay!) and showers. The public spaces are gorgeous and full of greenery. There is a small shop inside the hotel, which is really convenient. There is also a safe parking lot. The workers are friendly, professional and helpful. They really do their best to make you feel good. The cons: Many things are at an extra cost, including water at dinner, towels for the beach, and even if you want to weigh your suitcase you need to pay! The location is quite far from the airport and the old town (around an hour), you need to rent a car if you want to get out. With that said, there are buses nearby but we haven’t tried them. On the other hand, it’s very close to the village of Acharavi so shops, supermarkets, pharmacy and other facilities are at an easy reach. The spa is very small and we couldn’t catch anyone who was working there… On the whole, we had a wonderful, peaceful vacation and we do think that the hotel gives good value for the money. Note that it’s a family hotel, so there are kids at all ages (which personally didn’t bother us).

The staff were great, nice accommodation and for the size of complex, not noisy. The views in the bar area out to sea wonderful. Being by the beach was a bonus. And easy to walk into town for choice of restaurants. Breakfast sometimes a bit busy later on but still good choice of food.

Might be useful to have some hotel information in the room and never knew when cleaners were going to arrive (no "do not disturb" signs). But the cleaners were great and did a good job.

New to Acharavi Beach Hotel in Corfu island - First sight impression : - very good breakfast and very well presented/exposed/offered. Good, prompt service. - pleasant location : sea front, on the beach with main hotel building and restaurant, pool, bar, taverna, playground... but continued inland with other small hotels around a little park and even a little supermarket, all like a small vilage. - kind and nice staff like Maria - Reception. - large, clean rooms, with balcony and cooling/ventilation devices. - local trips to Corfu or nerarby - Sarande, Albania provided at request. Seems a good selection. To be continued - dinner, pool and beach services... One suggestion : a pliable luggage support per room might be useful and welcomed.
