Hotels with pool in Matala

I like everything there: the rooms, the breakfast, the garden, the hospitality of Olimpios (the owner of the hotel), the swimming pool

If you are lucky enough your afternoon around the magnificent pool will enchanted by Olympios mandoline and songs. Breakfast are following a tight schedule but the food quality is premium

We have been going to this place for 8 years. Olympios & Lydia hiswife will welcome you in an eco-friendly, familly focussed hotel

It is visited by many frequent customers who fell in love with the place and other 'de passage' who comes for a couple of night

I've stayed at this hotel three times. It is my favorite hotel on the island of Crete

Hotel Melissa was absolutely fantastic! Very quiet, because it wasn't near the noisy center of Matala. The swimming pool wasn't cold even though the weather was still rather cool

Very nice hotel located about 1,4km from Matala. There is a large swimming pool and the room are clean.

The rooms and restaurant were spotlessly clean. Breakfast abundant and with a lot of choices. The owner very friendly and helpful. We loved the musquito screens, which allowed us to sleep with the balcony door open

We only used the airco for a few hours, but it was working very well. If you have mobility problems ask for a room near the restaurant, so that you don't have to use the stairs that lead to the other rooms

I stayed for two weeks and had a very enjoyable time. The rooms were simply built, but always kept clean. Dinner was Greek home cooking with a lot of vegetables and was very delicious

It was about a 20-minute walk from the hotel to the beach, and the nearest beach, Matala Beach, was very crowded, so I liked Kommo, which was about a 10-minute drive away

I really liked it, we had a front sea view room and it was good. Has a pool but I didn't go in as the beach is right next to it. Location is superb, watch sunset on beach come back get changed so easy

The overall experience is very good! The facilities are nice ( 4 swimming pools, a gym and common areas), the location is perfect, our room is literally 1minjte away from Matala beach

the hotel is very near to matala beach. The room was in the building behind the parking spots. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The breakfast was perfect with everything you need

The only thing: bathroom is small and if you shower, you would have water everywhere in the bathed. But we would recommend this hotel

Our room was big and had a balcony where we could put our clothes to dry. Employees from the hoteL were all friendly and helpful!

Peaceful, beautiful and extremely good value for money (even with a pool). Basic rooms, but very clean and with nice balconies. We stayed one night and had breakfast. The family running the hotel treated us very kindly

The pool was great! However, that room had no Wi-Fi reception, the curtains were not occlusive (sunshine at 6am) and the air conditioning along with the fridge were so loud that we had to switch them off for the night

Comfortable and chill! The hotel let us enjoy the best of Matala. The cleaning service is very well done, the only pitfalls are the breackfast that is quite repetitive and the pool is closed during nightime

Beautiful and relatively peaceful experience. We felt very welcome and at home in the room just by the pool

Even with that off, we were awoken at 6am by super loud pigeons and caged bird on the pine trees in the garden

Very good AC, and breakfast, bathroom is very limited but managable, very friendly dog (im scared of dogs but wasnt scared of this one very cute), pool area was amazing as well, very clean pool

10 min walk from beach. Tasty breakfast. Small swimming pool available. Public parking available only however there a lot of free places to park.

This is a great little hotel at 10 minutes walk from the center of Matala. Nice rooms, great looking pool, delicious breakfast and lovely hosts

Renovated hotel with a nice pool. We absolutely liked the room with a view on the pool. It's spacious and there is a nice terrace. A typically Greek bathroom, a bit small, but more than ok

I had a lovely time in this beautiful hotel. The staff are very friendly and the property is very well kept. The beach is only a five minute walk and there are lots of shops and restaurants in the area

Well decorated exterior- especially the garden & pool, really enjoyed taking photos 4. The staff will just let you leave your bags if your transfer is late in the night and you needed to check out already

They even will let you use the pool and the public toilet & shower Cons- 1. No wifi connection in the room 2. No toiletries like shampoo, conditioner, toothpaste- so remember to bring some with you 3

The perfect place to relax and spend a quality time. Very close to supermarket, restaurants and beaches. The staff is amazing and very welcoming.

Nothing to say about the cleanliness of the rooms and the bathroom The swimming pool is good and it There are shaded corners. The staff is discreet and friendly. It's not the factory because there aren't too many rooms

Fine place. I just got annoyed by drunk people in the pool at night, people talking loud in the corridor and the stink sewer in the room sometimes.

Cozy place, beautiful surroundings, friendly hosts. Old building but well maintained. Breakfast good. Better than at the most other places on the island. I stayed there for three nights.

Nice small hotel 10 minutes from the center, clean rooms with balcony and comfortable beds, spacious bathroom. There is also a small pool for those who need a change from the salty sea water

Clean rooms basic we had no kettle just a fridge but it was only an over night stay so fine nice pool area 5 min walk to matala easily done on the flat breakfast was good continental style maybe there are rooms with better facilities it was a nice place to stay

Eleni is a complete sweetheart and helped with anything we needed. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and had a mini fridge. Highly recommend staying here it was close to the beach and my family and I had a lovely stay!

Great location, lovely staff and a nice breakfast. Our apartment at the back was okay, clean and big enough for 4.

Couldn't have the windows open at night as a band playing nearby was crazy loud, so the room was quite warm, we had to ask the front desk for the remote for the Aircon

The courtyard is delightful, with pretty flowers and trees that give great shade on a hot day. The staff are wonderful and made my husband and I feel at home. I highly recommend Nikos Hotel

Nikos hotel in Matala was a magical place to stay. Not only for it's perfect location but also for the comfort and luxurious feel

The whole hotel is clean, the staff are friendly and helpful. Breakfast is a joy plus only a short walk in to town or beach

Absolutely unique hotel, friendliness in abundance, clean and perfect location.

Modern, clean and super friendly host. WiFi signal weak when in the room.

Con: Shower handle can't be adjusted and falls out of the handle every few mins. The Wifi is extremely bad. The router should be switched. Pro: Clean and more or less modern. Cleaned every day. Free parking.

Breakfast is simple but enjoyable, with tables outside in the garden area. We did not tested dinner; the buffet was small. Matala beach is close, well equipped, not too crowed at beginning of the season (end May)

drink bar, restaurant, garden swimming pool 20 meters nice under the palms. few times a week there is an event in restaurants garden - concert , movie etc. It's not so noisy and crowded like the centre of the village

Until hotel management act, if you’re still planning to stay here and if you care about these animals, help: feed them discretely/sign on-line survey to authorities/donate to Creta association/adopt and/or continue lobbying hotel management

The space is modest but functional. The layout is flat and easy to navigate, making it very suitable for guests with disabilities or young children. Staff is friendly and efficacious

The current situation of hungry, unsterilized cats leads to overpopulation and suffering. This is causing distress both to the animals and to guests

As already identified multiple time in previous evaluation, there are many stray cats in/ around the hotel, most clearly in need for food and care
