The Olive Yard in Gythio

Peaceful location close to the beach. We had a garden room, wow, how beautiful, just wish we could have stayed longer. Swings in the garden hammocks, patio with table and chairs, lots of places to chill out and relax. The room was amazing, comfortable bed, lovely bathroom, great kitchen area with everything needed in it. Breakfast was delivered in a basket, such a lovely idea, we sat and ate it on our garden patio, what a fabulous choice of food, all freshly cooked, and delicious. Great staff, very friendly.

Wow, so beautiful, a lovely chilled atmosphere, very comfortable luxurious apartments all with incredible sea views. Lots of extra special touches to make your stay perfect including breakfast served to your terrace or room, a laundry service only chargeable by the washing load not individual items and personalised recommendations for days out - both on the tourist trail and off the beaten track - and eating out in traditional Greek restaurants by the harbour in Gytheio. Both George and Katerina were the perfect hosts and managers, such a lovely warm welcome from George and the best check out experience ever with Katerina. It is obvious that this is a well cared for business with the customer as a guest at the centre of everything. Very comfortable apartment, incredibly clean, super comfy bed, a fantastic shower, soft fluffy towels, a juliet balcony with a stunning sea view, perfect kitchenette and a private terrace, not overlooked at all. Instagram worthy surroundings including tree swings and garden terrace furniture, this was the perfect 2 night stay, exploring Monemvasia during the day.

Cute, Cosy and Comfortable room Mani style with a small kitchen and amazing views. Efficient check in and a good breakfast delivered to room at a time agreed, consisted of bread, cake, toasties with egg, fruit, yoghurt and juice although would have preferred fresh orange juice at this standard of accommodation and some extra coffee pods. Loved to sit out on the balcony perhaps some cushions for the metal chairs would be a bonus. Lovely relaxing areas in the grounds surrounded by Olive trees. We found some nice beaches in the area. A few minutes drive to the pretty town for restaurants and cafes.

This is a charmer. with its little nooks to sit in and swings there’s a fire pit outside and gorgeous view overlooking the sea. They have bicycles for you to go down to the sea for free and it’s got the old Field with the stone, but it’s been it’s been redone in a very classy way. Good for families and couples. The hotel is open all year except for the month of January. This is well worth it for relaxation. The only downside is there’s no pool but it’s a two minute drive and maybe be a 10 minute bicycle ride or a 15 minute walk to the beach.

This is an utterly charming boutique hotel with just twelve rooms. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. We had a garden room that had a lovely terrace in the garden complete with muslin curtaining for privacy or sunshade and a full sunshade as well. It had a side view of the sea. The staff are super friendly and helpful. The location is just a few minutes from Gythio but in a lovely quiet position. A good beach with an excellent beach bar is just a few hundred metres away. They don't charge there for beach umbrellas and loungers as long as you have a drink or some food. The breakfast is served in the room and is a bit limited as a result. There is a daily cooked option which is good but no cereal option and the jam in tiny packets is frankly poor. Fruit was just an apple or a pear, neither of which I wanted in the morning. Nonetheless this is a beautiful place to stay and maybe, with a little more attention to the breakfast choices, it would be perfect

The Olive Yard offers a very beautiful views of Gytheio and of the sea. It is also very near to the beach; you can go to a very nice and peaceful beach which is like 5 minutes walking from the hotel. In addition, Katerina, the hotel manager, was very kind and helpful with everything we needed. She also recommended us some good restaurants. The rooms were very wide and beautiful. The hotel has a very nice garden with lots of trees and places to relax. However, we would have prefered the breakfast to be served in a common area, instead of in our private terrace, as it is a bit small for three people. To sum up, the Olive Yard has made our stay very comfortable and pleasant.

Secret gem paradise outside the crowed city of gythio 2 minutes ride, over the sea,in an olive yard field full of birds songs n spring flowers. rooms very well kept extremely clean comfortable with an amazing basket full of goodies for breakfast, nothing negative to remember.suggest someone who will travel to the area to visit n stay its worth

Absolute perfect place. Some great garden and interior designer must have planned this. Our room had a private little garden - we felt like film stars. The beach is very close and also very quiet.
