Filoxenia Tholos in Theologos

I had a fantastic stay at Filoxenia, the apartments are gorgeous and very spacious and the pool area is beautiful. The self catering provision has everything you might need for cooking (I brought my own washing up liquid, sponge and tea towel thanks to other reviews!) and the shower was fantastic. I was a solo female traveller and felt 100% safe at all times, there were actually a lot of solo travellers there when I was which was lovely!

The bus stop is directly outside the hotel and only took 35 minutes into Rhodes old town for 3 euros, definitely worth the trip.

While the hotel is under the flight path, the soundproofing is actually really good and the planes didn't bother me at all - I did still need earplugs as a light sleeper due to the fridge in the room so would recommend bringing them!

Under the flight path but surprisingly quiet location. Has two pools and a restaurant. Has a mini golf course, large draughts and chess game available for a small price and a museum on the grounds. Rooms are clean and airy. Not much to do within walking distance. Very nice hotel apartments.

Well, what can I say? It’s my first time coming here, however, my mum has been here at least 4-5 times in the past and it definitely lives up to expectations. Nikos and Evangelia are amazing hosts; kind, compassionate and wonderful at what they do! The staff (Zdenka, Vasillis, Mike, Georgia, the ladies who work so hard in the kitchens, and Helen and all the many cleaning ladies who keep the rooms stocked and spotless), are all fantastic and very friendly, knowledgeable and attentive to anyone’s needs. There is not a bad thing to say about Filoxenia! We had the chance to look around the museum which was full of amazing photos, and interesting information and artefacts about how family life was from many years ago. The food is top grade and my mouth waters just thinking about it. They cater to pretty much anyone, whether you are a meat-lover to vegetarian to gluten free, they are happy to help anyone. Very generous portions and always delicious. BBQ night was on our second night here and it did not disappoint (especially Nikos’ ‘BBQ king’ shirt haha). On Fridays are Greek nights which have live music and dancing ladies and gentleman which were amazing! Even after it stormed down with rain, they helped everyone to get inside and even remade meals for people whose food got sodden with rain. And not forgetting the beautiful puppies Reya and Nero (hoping I’ve spelled that right). They are absolutely adorable and you may find them wandering around the site and on occasion barking at some of the cats 🤣😅 but for the most part they love to sit in the sun as the rest of us love to do! I really have no bad word to say about Filoxenia, they have been wonderful and I’m more than sure I’ll be back soon to join my Mum! Thank you 😊

My wife and I have just spent 2 glorious weeks here. The rooms are basic and that is my only criticism however they are clean and comfortable. If you want to relax and feel completely chilled out then this is the place. Lovely owners,staff and pets we will return

My partner and I recently stayed at Filoxenia! We had an incredible time and thoroughly enjoyed this hotel.
The staff were so friendly and welcoming. They were also extremely helpful when we were looking for fun activities to do near.
The food and drinks at the resturant were so tasty and the waiting staff were also very kind.
The room was regularly cleaned and we had an incredible view of the surrounding areas.
The pets located in the hotel such as the very friendly kitten and the two adorable dogs really made our stay even more special.
We are definitely thinking of returning to this hotel due to the calm, relaxing and tranquil nature.
I would definitely reccomend!

One of the most comfortable places I ever seen. The staff is so friendly that the stay is a delicious experience. The apartment was very convenient, with beautiful sights to the see and the surroundings. Peaceful, nice gardens plenty of olive trees, flowers and aromatic herbs complete the picture. Excellent and special.

Really warm and welcoming staff. Genuinely care for thier guests. Felt well looked after, nice chilled out atmosphere. Food was amazing. Rooms were nice and clean along with being decent size.

Had the most fantastic welcome here, felt like we were among family. So peaceful, apartment was lovely and clean, restaurant served delicious home cooked food at a very reasonable price. Owners so friendly and couldn’t do enough for us. It’s like a home from home and would certainly go back! Big thanks to everyone for making us feel so welcome!
