Hotel Dionyssos in Skopelos Town

Stayed from 13th room 212 hotel was great catered for all our needs. The staff were so helpful and friendly probably the best I've encountered in a long time.Breakfast wide choice and plentiful. Pool was fab with great views. One suggestion the sunbeds are old and dated not very comfortable. Overall superb stay and a lovely place to stay.

Just returned from a week on Skopelos at Hotel Dionyssos. Hotel location was perfect only a few minutes to the tavernas , shops and waterfront up a short hill but I’m 65 and no problem, also close to a supermarket. Without exception ALL staff where friendly and welcoming, rooms and indeed all communal areas where spotless. Breakfast was very good with fresh continental and also cooked items - never hungry! Pool was deep ( not a complaint) and again spotless with well maintained gardens around, previous comments have said sun beds were worn, I didn’t think so at all. Pool bar was well run by George and a lovely young lady whose name I don’t have , always a great atmosphere with good drinks and very good light afternoon meals . All in all we had a wonderful holiday, we rarely return to the same place but if we do return to Skopelos ,Hotel Dionyssos would be my first choice, excellent throughout 😺👍

5 stars because we were made to feel so welcome.. ALL of the staff went above & beyond to make our stay great. Ok, perhaps the sunbeds were only 3 star, the rooms 4 star, shower 3 stars. The decor and room sizes were 4 star+. The pool & pool bar with lunches available were really good. The hotels location was great, just a short walk, under 5 mins, to the main port town with its many shops, resuraunts & bars.

We had a fabulous stay. The rooms were spotless and cleaned every day. The staff couldn't do enough for us. From the moment we arrived to the day we left, we were so well looked after by them. Our rooms were cleaned daily. The staff at Reception were very knowledgeable and helpful The staff in the restaurant were also very helpful. And the staff at the Pool bar , where you could order lunch and also have a night cap were also very accommodating accommodating. We would defintely come back another time. There were 4 of us and we had a wonderful holiday.

This is our first time in skopelos and the hotel was in prime position, slightly up a hill with beautiful views, and not too far from the Madding crowd. The hotel itself was extremely traditional. and met all our needs. The room was cleaned scrupulously every day. All staff both pool, reception and housekeepers were all extremely polite and helpful. Maria on reception was most informative and a pleasure to talk to every evening. The pool area was kept meticulously clean, although sunbed’s were very tired. Breakfast was adequate with plenty of choice. Authentic Greek yogurt, honey, prunes and fruits all available. Plus hot breakfast if required.

This was our first time staying at this hotel and our first time to Skopelos. The hotel is in an excellent location only a short walk to all the shops, restaurants and bars and because its up a slight hill it has views of Skopelos harbour from the pool. The hotel is a bit dated and really needs some modernisation. On our first night we noticed one of the light switches didn't work and was all loose, so we reported it and someone came to fix it. Two days in a row the maids didn't leave any towels so we had to go and ask reception for them. To be honest we thought it was a bit unnecessary changing the towels every day! The sunbeds are very old and really should have been upgraded, they are uncomfortable and lots of them are broken, people pay a lot money to stay at hotels abroad and the least they can do is provide modern comfortable sunbeds! Breakfast was buffet style and there was a good choice of hot and cold food, the only problem was the hot food wasn't hot! All the hot plates were plugged in, but when I felt them they only felt lukewarm or cold. Every day the food was cold or only tepid which wasn't very pleasant. Seeing as most guests are B&B you'd expect all the rooms to have tea and coffee making facilities which they do not! The only thing they have is a small fridge! We really like a tea or coffee first thing in the mornings and when we go back to our room. So we bought a small kettle in a supermarket so we could make our own hot drinks. The rooms also need more plug sockets there are not enough. Having said all that the staff at the hotel are very friendly and helpful and will try and make your stay as comfortable as possible

Beautiful tradition hotel. All the good comments in the other reviews are true. We stayed for 4 nights on an Olympic Holidays Island hoping trip. This was a great base but I had not realised they do not serve food during the evening and the walk up the hill back from the restaurants is very steep if you have any walking difficulties. That said we enjoyed our stay and the wonderful view from the pool. The lunchtime menu was very good and fairly priced. I hope that management invest in some new loungers for next year. This would make it a perfect.

We had a lovely stay at this hotel! All the staff was so kind and so helpful, nothing is too much work! You had a lot of choices for breakfast and it all tasted amazing! Especially the dutch girls were very nice and helpful. The pool was really nice but the sunbeds are a bit old so they could use an upgrade! We’re looking forward for our next stay at dionyssos!

Been to Skopelos three years on the trot, two of these we stayed at DionyssosThe staff are wonderful, in particular George in the bar (a real character). Plenty of variety at breakfast, the snacks around the pool are reasonably priced and the hotel is ideally located just a few minutes walk from the town. We never return back to a place,as we are always excited to go somewhere new but with Skopelos and in particular Dionyssos, we have made the exception; a wonderful stay as always 😊

Fantastic holiday in a superb well run hotel. Without exception everyone who works at the hotel is polite, friendly and very helpful. Hotel was spotlessly clean, rooms cleaned and towels changed everyday. Breakfast offered a wide range of food and hot and cold drinks. Pool and pool bar were both great, pool area very clean and tidy and plenty of sun beds available. Hotel is located a five minute walk from the port with its restaurants, cocktail bars and shops within easy reach. The island is beautiful and unspoiled with an excellent bus service connecting the port to the wonderful beaches on offer. Looking forward to returning one day soon.
