Hotel Palatinus in Sopron is a charming, nicely renovated small hotel in the very heart of the old town, which makes it an ideal base for exploring the city on foot. We stayed in room 106 from 3 PM check-in time and found it comfortable, clean and well organized. The room had everything we needed or could possibly need, a safe, hairdryer, enough hangers for our clothes and a comfortable bed that ensured a good night’s sleep. The entire space felt tidy and well maintained, which gave a pleasant, relaxed atmosphere during our stay. The staff were kind and helpful throughout, friendly and approachable whenever we had a question. The breakfast was plentiful and varied, everything tasted really delicious. Thanks to the central location in Sopron’s downtown, all major sights, shops and restaurants were easily reachable on foot. I can sincerely recommend Hotel Palatinus to anyone visiting Sopron who is looking for a comfortable, well-equipped room and a great location in the historic city center.

We had a great stay! The breakfast was delicious and plentiful, the hotel is very quiet yet right in the center, just steps from shops and landmarks. The staff were kind and flexible, immediately offering options for my dietary needs. Parking can be a bit tricky with a larger car, and it’s worth notifying in advance — but there’s an underground garage just a few minutes away.

The hotel is in the heart of the museum quarter, among medieval houses, by the old synagogue. Most museums and sights are within a few minutes' walk. The room was small but cosy and clean, the bed was comfortable and the Nespresso machine added to my feeling of comfort. All amenities one might need were provided. I liked that the hotel considers sustainability. I also liked the clear and modern design concept reflecting the historical heritage of Sopron. The staff was helpful and welcoming. The breakfast is rich, with a choice for different tastes and expectations.

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful from the moment I arrived. The room was clean, spacious, and well-equipped, with a comfortable bed and a beautiful view. The location was perfect — close to public transport, shops, and restaurants, yet quiet at night. Breakfast was delicious, with a wide variety of fresh options every morning. I especially appreciated the attention to detail and the overall atmosphere. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area!

A comfortable hotel with many rooms and mainly business people staying in them. Our room faced a lane blocked at one end but still was noisy. The main problem was the automatic garage right underneath our room. Service was polite rather than friendly, German was spoken and English was not understood. Breakfast was average. Wi-fi was available for free but you had to sit in or near the lobby for it to work. The lobby was comfortable so that wasn't an issue. A reasonalbe place to stay in Sopron if you don't mind a few, small rough edges.

Reception service friendly and professional. Very nice and comfortable rooms. Everything looks new, clean and bright. We payed 42 euro/night for the room, breakfast included for 2 persons + 1,5 euro/person/night tourist tax + 4,5 euro/night for the parking space. I think those prices can hardly be beaten if you consider the value you get for this. The parking area is within the hotel but the etrance is quite narrow and a bit difficult for a larger car. The parking area is a bit cramped too. Especially if most of the parking spaces are already occupied. ( about 7 or 8 places) Breakfast was plenty with warm (eggs and frankfurtes sausages and cold dishes. I would have no doubt in staying here again.
