We spent a wonderful weekend here! Friendly and helpful staff and the food was amazing. All of their Tokaj Art wines are very tasteful. We highly recommended!

Everything is perfect here. We stayed at the hotel for the night. In the morning we had breakfast at the restaurant.

Hello, we stayed 2 nights in this hotel. Everythhing was ok. Nice wellnes. We can recomend all for acomodation.

Breakfast was fine, got a few options to choose from (even some lactose free and gluten free for those who need it). Our room was clean, the bathroom is nice, however we got two beds that were moved to "appear" as one, but there was a huge split between. Spa is nice there are 4 types of saunas and there are two pools (one very small and shallow for babies probably).

We spent holiday 23dec to 26dec 18. Nice resting, kind employers, but the roof made from metal so if you have upstairs room and its raining, you wont sleep. I stay in this hotel as part of my work (up until now for 4 weeks). I think that it is a very nice hotel with very kind workers. I sometimes get to the hotel very late, and there is always someone at the reception. The rooms are cleaned every day, and the soap is refilled. An old hotel very close to the city center. It's an older style hotel (rooms have physical keys and not key cards), but they are clean and overall OK. The staff was nice, the on-site restaurant offers quite a good variety of things at a reasonable price.

I would rate it at all about 4.4 because we had to wait more than a hour. If I only rate the food only then it is 4.8. The cause of the 0.2 deduction is that the portions weren't that big(or maybe just mine, because others were ok with the size). The service was perfect. Prices start at 4400 HUF. Amazingly helpful receptionist — allowed me to check in early and even offered some coffee while I waited. It was exactly what I needed after a delayed flight! 1 metal rod on the stairs holding the carpet in place is loose/broken. I almost fell of the stairs. I mentioned it to reception they did acknowledge it but did nothing. Perhaps glue it on if you do not have a replacement metal strip. That was the only negative point. Would definitely stay there again. Until next time!

Such a warm welcome on arrival and an absolutely gorgeous suite with huge bath. Very impressed with home style cooked breakfast eggs to order. Dora the hotel manager extremely knowledgable about where to go and what to do. Highly recommend for an authentic experience.

Our room wasn't in the main building, but in a nice and quiet dépendance in front of it. The room was beautiful, clean and large, with a beautiful bow window. Parking is free of charge. Good breakfast (served n the main building) and friendly and helpful Staff.

The hotel is in an excellent location, about a 15 minute walk from the city center so no need for going there by car and paying parking. Staff was really helpful, the new rooms look amazing and the breakfast had enough choices to start a day properly, though I had wished for some more cereal choices or perhaps prepared fruit. Great little cozy hotel, with an atmosphere of a noble villa! The staff is very friendly, the rooms are spacious, mine even had a bathtub which I love! Breakfast was good, and we were served by a friendly elder gentlemen who was wearing a uniform. So cool! Overall, great place, recommended!

The room is very small, probably less than 10 square meters. The facilities are old and outdated. It's not even a four-star hotel. Under the banner of environmental protection, they even charge extra for changing bath towels every day. There is no daily cleaning. I stayed for three days and only received one cleaning (just made up the quilt). It's totally not worth the price.

This hotel was a great place to stay in Eger. The rooms were a bit small, but very clean and everything (shower, intranet, etc) worked well. The beds were very comfortable. And the breakfast in the morning was outstanding. One could easily walk to most parts of Eger from this hotel. It's a nice little hotel in the heart of Eger. The staff is very professional and the place is well kept, despite its age. I would have loved to have a water heater in the room with coffee and tea, but maybe it's not the same standard as we are used to in North America.

A friendly, family owned hotel within 7 min walking distance to the centre of Eger. WiFi throughout the hotel, spa, and… a Beatles museum! What is not to like? Under the hotel you find cosy win cellars where wine tasting is arranged. I recommend you exploring local red and white wine, not least the famous Egri bikavér!

It was a nice, very comfortable hotel with a good breakfast. It is just a short walk into the town square or a hike up to the mast for a great view of the area. It was during the heatwave, but the hotel was a good temperature. The staff were friendly and helpful.

The hotel has a decent breakfast with enough variety to start the day, and the location is very convenient, near the city centre, making it easy to get around and visit nearby attractions.

Very uncomfortable... The room was clean, spacious, and the air conditioning worked perfectly. The TV and remote control were awful; there was no channel list, the remote worked intermittently, and the TV screen was tiny. The mattress was extremely thin, and there was no slatted frame, just a solid board – unacceptable and completely uncomfortable.

The Unicorn is the hotel of choice. It's in a great location for walking around the city. The exterior of the hotel seems to have been renovated, so it was a bit different from the interior, but there was a breakfast buffet and it was a comfortable stay.

The food and dining experience in general was the best part about this hotel. The quality of the rooms should be brought up to the quality of the restaurant. But everything was fine the staff is kind and energetic in general.

Property is very conveniently located by the wine cellars of the famous Eger wineries. You can walk in few minutes to do wine tasting to a lot of premium wine cellars and restaurants.

A beautiful and well organized hotel, located a few meters away from the medieval fortress. Everyone at the hotel was nice and ready to help. We also liked the garage that can accommodate about 10 cars.

We went back to Eger after 20 years and this was our first time to stay at Imola hotel. Great location with the option for underground car parking for fees. We got room number 2 which was located on the first floor with a balcony to view on the castle. The room is not huge but includes a small fridge with drinks and sweets. We stayed here for two nights while wine tasting in Eger. What a lovely spot. We had a nice little apartment (room 6 - although not so great for my husband who is 6’5” because we were on the top floor and the ceilings slanted. Glad he survived.). We came in for dinner, but it was not a good choice .... The staff aren’t on top either, and the food doesn’t bring the standard you would pay for. To call a cow's cottage cheese nokedlit a sheep's cheese strap is quite an exaggeration ... The food was great, and the terrace has a great view to the lake, and it's shady even in a hot summer day. Beware, there are an awful lot of stairs in the place, but it's no surprise as the whole area is located between hills.

This is one of my favorite location in Eger. It is a fantastic location right next to the castle wall in the middle of downtown. You can feel the history and the culture radiates from the walls of the building! Actually it is an interesting fact that they used some of the stones from the castle when the hotel was built. More than the rooms and the food, the complex is simply stunning! It is a complex of horse training and restoration of old carriages. Everything here is pastorally quiet and full of animals. Children will love to be here. The prices are cheap and reasonable. The rooms are air conditioned and clean but simple.

It is a very nice place to stay in Eger. Very close to the city center and also to the Turkish spa. However, they serve only the breakfast, no lunch or dinner (even if they offer this on booking).

This was a great vacation. We were located quite in the centre, could park the car and the trailer which was essential. It was quiet and the rooms were freshly renewed. That and the fair price is what we liked. I like the quietness there - that is often so in Hungary. The only thing we missed was a climate system, but that is more than can be expected at such prices. We certainly come back again!

The first impression was excellent all the way until one problem after the other kept popping up. The hairdryer did not work at all. The towels are due for replacement. The bathroom floor got flooded during the second night. The shower door was broken although it got fixed immediately. Lovely little hotel with tidy and cozy rooms. Unfortunately breakfast was not available due to renovations of the dining room. (Or rather the pandemic circumstances.) The adjoining pizzeria was open, though, but it wasn’t too welcoming and suitable for dinner so I left. Moderately priced, they helped with parking and the owner was kind.
