On the flip side, AC in the room didn’t work for cooling once it was +30 degrees outside. The staff was aware of this issue but didn’t bother to let us know in prior or upon check-in. The issue was fixed in the late afternoon though.
Both early mornings we were knocked up with a super loud noise of the garbage truck collecting trash from the main entrance of the hotel. Should you be a light sleeper you most likely won’t enjoy it.
Breakfast in Macok Bisztro was fine for 2-night stay but any type of coffee from the coffee machine rather than americano had a mediocre sugary taste.
WiFi signal in the room was pretty bad (we stayed in the corner room with a balcony).
The room is quite ok. Nice shower and bed. Mattress was a bit soft for my taste, and my back would probably complain if we stayed longer. The Aircon in the room didn't work properly, but it could lower the temp a few degrees.
Breakfast at Macok restaurant was good. We did have dinner at Macok one day as well and we liked it.
Overall, very good option for somebody valuing location and comfort. Cannot speak about price vs value as we used frequent flyer points for the booking.
Post review: downgraded to 4 stars, as I read that the hotel has actually a garage for guests and this was never informed or offered to us. At the checkin we mentioned we parked the car on the streets and we were not offered to park in the garage of the hotel. Also, I forgot to mention previously that due to road blocks it is very difficult to get to the hotel by car. The website of the hotel doesn't contain any info to help on the matter.
