4 star hotels in Szeged

A hotel that exceeded our expectations. I would like to give the restaurant and the chef a maximum rating. Extremely tasty food. We have a celiac daughter and for us it was a delight to have gluten free options for both dinner and breakfast. I could compare the breakfast to any 5 star restaurant. A person is constantly in charge of the buffet so that the food looks good. The spa in the hotel is...

We stayed at the hotel with the whole family, at the end of July and beginning of August. It should be noted that the attitude of the hotel employees is very good. The employees are very helpful. The rooms are very spacious and pleasant. Everything is clean and tidy. The water park is very fun. Everything is arranged, the children really enjoyed every moment and did not want to leave. Thank you very...

Review translated from my parents, who have visited and stayed from the 1st to the 4th of May: - The inside pools were unkept and dirty. - The room was not ready after the check-in time, at 14:00 PM. - Rooms were small and below the expected quality for a 4-star hotel. - A small sum of money has been stolen from the room, and while we do understand that the hotel does not guarantee the safety of our...

Very nice hotel. The pools are fantastic. Water slides are very exciting. Recommended for all families.

The breakfast was plentiful, including Chinese dishes, and was clean and hygienic. The waiters were also friendly.

The toilet is very, very small! No slippers provided!! Breakfast is inadequate! I say this because it's a Novote chain. !!!

The aircon in the room is not working. The room is stuffy. The lift was not working on the ground floor. So we must carry our luggage by stairs to the second storey to take the lift to our room. The room is smaller than expected because the balcony is part of the floor area. The toilet is small and tight. The breakfast buffet is good. Must take taxi or tram to the train station to other cities.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Wonderful family stay warm hospitality & great value! We stayed at Novotel Szeged as a family and had a truly pleasant experience. Our kids loved the hotel from the cozy little playroom with board games to the delicious breakfast buffet that kept them excited each morning. One of the best features is the "business lunch" offer at the restaurant, very affordable and perfect even for families...

Excellent stopover hotel on the way to Turkey – highly recommended! We’ve been staying at Novotel Szeged every year for many years during our travels to Turkey, and it never disappoints. The hotel is super comfortable, and the staff is always friendly and welcoming. As a family, we truly feel at home here. We’ve recommended it to many of our relatives, and they’ve also had great experiences. A perfect...

we checked in and the lady that helped us was very kind. So we got our room we went up and we got a room that wasn’t cleaned there was towels over the place not clean towels and a bottle of water someone else had bought. We went back down and got another room which was clean. She apologized and gave us a complimentary drink. we went to go get a soft drink. (Soda) and the lady at the bar couldn’t speak...

Room Nr. 410 ...unacceptable - it looks like the rest room for workers and employees.

Clean room and tastefully designed. Helpful and friendly staff. Great location

The shower screen was not sealed properly and water was trickling down by the wall underneath the sink making a puddle in which I slipped. This is a safety hazard and makes it look unclean. The wooden furniture , doorframe etc showed signs of aging.

Fabulous little gem of a hotel in the middle of town. You can pretty much walk anywhere. The wine festival was just around the corner. Impressive buffet breakfast with a wide variety of options and a perfect espresso. Staff are very helpful and accommodating. We will be back!

The room is spacious and bright, with a balcony. Opposite is the library, Christmas market, cathedral, and pedestrian street are all nearby. There is also a Chinese restaurant near the hotel with good food.

Overall, it's a very satisfactory hotel. However, the water in the shower room doesn't drain well. The location is also really good.

Good location, modern style, nice service (including the acceptable breakfast). Single-room was a bit small, just on the edge of being uncomfortable. The hotel offered one-size bigger room for extra fee. Altogether the experience was OK.

Comfortable bed & good bathroom & room size.A bar fridge in the room would have made it perfect

although we really enjoyed staying at this hotel in 2024, sadly, i can‘t say the same for this year. the hotel has (probably ever since they opened the new building) lost its cleaniness. the bathrooms were pretty tidy but the rest of the room almost looked like it had not been cleaned. we found lots of dirty spots on the balcony as well as the floors which looked like they had not been vacuumed. even...

Only three stars for cleanliness. The room was a bit dusty. The bathroom was clean. The bathroom had a musty smell. The reception staff were very friendly and breakfast was great.

Check in was easy. Nice staff at the front desk. Room and bathroom were clean. Overall ok. Breakfest could be various. Water at the dispenser was not clean. Filter must be changed urgently! Parking was tight underground and a to expensive. Un sunday morning at 6 am a lady from the staff was blowing the leaves in front of the hotel and made noise so I could hear it from the 4th floor. At least tdy to...

First, I want to appointed that this is a good-will suggestion cause think that this hotel have potential. I was there 4 nights with daughter. Hotel is on excellent location regarding all places which you need to see at Szeged. Stuff is kind, but in some situation not very helpful. Just as suggestion, front desk stuff has to know at least to explain where is a nearest exchange office. They seems to...

I came with my cousin to celebrate my Birthday and I didn’t know what to expect but I was absolutely delighted with this lovely hotel! Its location was ideal 5min from the Dom square. Above all the staff were fantastic, welcoming and they made up the sofa bed for my cousin so we could both spread out! I was also greeted with a bottle of champagne for my birthday. The rooms were quiet, cosy and spacious...

We, as a family (5of us) were very satisfied of everything. The room was nice and neat and tidy. The breakfast room was cozy, little but cozy… meals are good, I prefer vegan choice, there was some. Lication is perfect, downtown is 5 mins. And what really impressed me, I left something in the room, and they sent me it… thx!!

The location is somewhere in the middle between the city centre and the railway station, both can easily be reached on foot (if one doesn't have any luggage for the train). Reception was friendly, but I was first given a room that I didn't like at all. Number 701 is in a building at the back, on a third floor without elevator and with a tiny window. I didn't like it, so I went back to the reception...

Pleasant stay on an attractive property Property very attractive. Small but comfortable room. Well located. Staff attentive and helpful. Some of the minor negatives. Lack of elevator in 2nd building not mentioned anywhere. No Kleenex in room. Had to request more toilet paper since only one roll was supplied for a 2 night stay.

What a lovely stay. Lovely room, beautiful bathroom. Car parking limited, but managed to get on site. Friendly staff, great breakfast! Would stay again

Very clean and easy access to everywhere we wanted to go. The breakfast was complementary and it was superb. During our stay, weather was very hot and the swimming pool was a welcome addition. Very memorable stay.

Beautiful, cosy little hotel close to the city center

Charming and very well located in the city.

Rough around the edges, staff were helpful in doing their job once convinced to do so. Limited breakfast options. Average 3 star hotel abd service.

Great place to stay. Clean, quiet. Great. Wonderful breakfast! Wonderful staff! Will stay again!

A small hotel with a lot of character and charm. The only problem is that there's no parking, and overstaying your parking time results in a fine of twenty times the parking fee. Breakfast is simple and the space is small.

The staff are more interested in being on their phones that answering the hotel phone or dealing with issues, My booking included breakfast but they wanted me pay for it , it’s was agreed it’s was included , until breakfast time and a staff swap , same again not , included , if,I want I must pay. My leaving time was planned around breakfast , so no time to argue , a complaint to the agent but...

Tug away on a quiet street. Very accessible to the centre

not bad rooms, the water in shower is pretty cold and breakfast was mid the eggs were cold. overall good experience the location is 5/5

great location, 15min walking from the Dom, private parking in the underground garage we were in the new building, the rooms were nice and clean, the beds comfortable. the rooms had a small kitchen.

Szent János Hotel in Szeged offers a comfortable stay with its well-maintained rooms and friendly staff. The hotel is centrally located, making it convenient for exploring the city. Guests can enjoy amenities like free Wi-Fi, a fitness center, and a lounge. However, some areas, such as the breakfast and wellness center, could use improvement12. Overall, it’s a decent choice for travelers looking for...

Service is great. Clean. Speaking English fluently. Great communication and help offered.

OKish, good value for money. Expect some unprofessionality but a lot of helpfulness.
