Reviews
Suggestion: beach towels. We had to carry our bathroom towels to the beach.
The price of the accomodation is quite high. Minimally, the water at the dinner table should be free.
Room infrastructure: When we made the reservation, there happened to be a marathon in Tihany and no other hotels had suitable rooms available (of course, when we arrived later, we found that there were suddenly many newer hotels with rooms available that day, probably because it was cloudy a few days ago and many people cancelled their reservations). We thought that it was a large hotel after all, it was just a little old, so it should be okay. We booked a lake view suite with balcony. The first room we were assigned was on the 1st floor. The lake view was basically blocked by the platform and all the lights could not be turned on. The room facilities were very old, all the furniture was old and worn out, and the maintenance was not very good. Then we changed to a room on the 3rd floor. As soon as we entered the door, we turned on a light and continued to stay there. There were only floor lamps and typhoon lamps in the room and the living room, and no main light source. As a result, when I turned on other lights at night, I found that two of them didn't turn on at all. It was too late and I was too lazy to change rooms, so I slept hastily in the dim old room all night. The only thing is that the bathroom may have been renovated, it feels okay and is also the brightest place in the house.
Hygiene: Too old, the hygiene is average. There was a bug on the pillow halfway through sleeping, but we were careful to close the doors and windows when going in and out.
Service: Almost none, definitely no turndown service or anything like that.
Soundproofing: There were kids running and playing upstairs, and I had to listen to them until 10 o'clock when they fell asleep.
Food: As for the buffet, it was OK. There were a lot of people, and it was a rough buffet.
Wifi: Slow.
Geographical location: Right next to the ferry terminal, a few kilometers away from the central monastery, etc., you need to drive there.
There are many hotels in other European cities that have a long history but have been well renovated and maintained, but this one is simply shabby and not as meticulous as one might think of as an old hotel. It is just an extensive, poorly hygienic and poorly maintained old hotel with a history of more than 50 years.
It was so old and eerie that I didn't take any photos. Later I remembered that I still wanted to remind everyone not to stay there, so I wrote this review.
