Really nice hotel, the sauna was perfect and the room cozy and clean.

The decor, facilities, and towels were rather old, but the room was fairly large and the breakfast was quite plentiful. After checking in, while I was taking a shower, the receptionist knocked loudly on the door. Thinking it was an emergency, I quickly came out of the bathroom to open it. While saying that cooking wasn't allowed in the hotel rooms, she rudely peeked inside to make sure we hadn't cooked...

This hotel serves as a base for exploring the West Coast, offering travelers a warm welcome from the relentless Icelandic winds. The free use of the heated outdoor bath was fantastic. I would definitely return.

The luxury cabin was worth it; the large floor-to-ceiling windows opened onto a lawn, offering a panoramic view of the aurora borealis.

The hotel boasts a beautiful golf course, which is a pleasant place to stroll around after breakfast in the morning, leaving you feeling refreshed. Dinner is also delicious. Although the hotel is not in the town center, it is perfect for a vacation. The only drawback is that the bathrooms are relatively small.

Staying at this hotel on the way back to Reykjavik from the Snæfellsnes Peninsula is a great option, as the surrounding environment is beautiful. The hotel rooms are spacious and clean, the restaurant serves delicious food, and there's a wake-up call at night to remind guests to watch for the Northern Lights. I'm giving 3.5 points to the male receptionist for his excellent service. He was always proactive in asking if I needed help when he saw I had a problem. When my room's heating wasn't working, even though he was busy, he first sent a colleague to check it out (though that person was pretty dismissive, just telling me to wait and that it would heat up soon 🙄). Breakfast is average, hot water is plentiful, and the shower room is large. Clean and hygienic

The property is a little dated in some areas like the hallways and dining areas, but the staff could not have been more supportive. The breakfast was a great bonus- classic Icelandic spread. Good place to stay on the peninsula

I booked the wrong room initially, but the hotel changed it readily via email, and the service was excellent. They even have a shared hot tub and sauna! 👍 You can cook in the village house, but it's not as spacious as a guesthouse. The breakfast selection was very extensive!

Clean, new cabin near the water. Bedding was comfortable, the bathroom was clean and functional, and the small equipped kitchenette was nice. The breakfast was good but not great.

I stayed for two nights in a modern cabin close to the beach, which I think they refer to as a "luxury cottage". Friendly staff, clean & comfortable room with kitchenette including a microwave and mini fridge. A simple but filling breakfast each morning at the main building was included in the price. Brilliant! I would stay here again.

Very nice staff. Room was small, but recently redecorated. Great location with water view from dining room and close to Borgarnes with all of its restaurants. Free coffee and tea in the dining room.

First I would like to mention that we stayed in the cottage, so my review is about it. Easy check in. The property is 5 minutes from town on a beach area, so there nothing around. We loved it. The cottage was spacious and clean. The bed was comfortable EXCEPT the pillows which were triable- flat and old- NEED NEW Pillows!! Also recommend to have a mat by the front door and kitchen towel. The room overlooking the bay on the ground floor is just fantastic and what a view. Fab sunset, Aurora Borealis if your lucky. The restaurant is just superb and we had lovely food, even vegetarian. had great options.

We were lucky, a table was reserved went available (the customers didn't show up). The owner gave us a table. There was a buffet of variant fishes. The meals were very delicious. The lamp chops meal was out of the menu. Very friendly staff. Reasonable prices.

Had the fish buffet (wrongly marked in the menu as appetizer) for around 35 euros you get soup of the day, bread and all you can eat of four kind of fish with side dishes like rice, salad and potatoes. Everything was delicious. Best meal we had in iceland.

We come to Iceland every summer and this is now my favourite restaurant to visit. They have an amazing fish buffet that offers 4 creamy fish entrees; ours was salmon, cod, tongue fish and bacalao. Strongly recommendable: Family run restaurant and hotel, with excellent food well presented. Fish soup is amazing and the burger was delicious as well, and the only good espresso we had in 10 days on Iceland! Amazing. They also have fish buffets with all you can eat for dinner. Really recommendable and worth having lunch or dinner.

A perfect home away from home. Fully furnished kitchen with all the food that matched our palette perfectly. If I'm to return to Iceland, will definitely stay here again.

Wonderful & cozy stay! Everything was clean, neat & host was generous to provide a good variety of food for breakfast. Those staying second floor there’s slight steep stairs thus lesser luggages would be good. Location was easy to find with Google Maps. Overall a pleasant stay. Thank you!

Very beautiful rooms, small but modern and in a calm environment. Feels very homey. The view from the rooms is incredible. The owner is very welcoming and nice.

Very clean, tidy lodgings, but the doors let to much light in. This made it so you couldn't totally darken the room which made it hard to get some good sleep. Breakfast was good tho there was some very nice freshly baked bread available.

Very isolated and quiet with views of river and mountains was originally a fishing lodge with great history. They checked us in early and made us feel at home as weather was very bad. Small but cosy rooms great food from local farm. Expensive but really enjoyed our brief stay.

A great place, isolated and quite but still 7 minutes drive from the town of Borgarnes (a VERY small town, pretty much empty after 8pm). The hotel offers an included breakfast and a dinner service. Beautiful house and beautiful area, wifi in the rooms may be weak depending on the room, but very strong in the living room that also offers coffee and tea throughout the evening.

Incredible. This place is absolutely gorgeous. The owners are very friendly and the hotel is by far the best we stayed in in Iceland. I would definitely recommend it.

This guest house is super quaint and homey! The best part about it is the hot tub with a fabulous view and amazing sunsets! The owner is very friendly and helpful as well. I would highly recommend Kria! We'd definitely go back:)
