Ensku Húsin in Borgarnes

Really nice isolated place. Good breakfast and cosy interiors. Wifi didn’t really reach our room though nor 4g..

A great place, isolated and quite but still 7 minutes drive from the town of Borgarnes (a VERY small town, pretty much empty after 8pm). The hotel offers an included breakfast and a dinner service. Beautiful house and beautiful area, wifi in the rooms may be weak depending on the room, but very strong in the living room that also offers coffee and tea throughout the evening.

- the WiFi had adequate speed, but the connectivity was only reliable around the living area

- view at the river, but it wasn‘t very available by foot. Probably the neighbors fault, who decided to cut off all strangers from the area

- terrace and living area were very comfy, especially in sunshine

Staff ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
- nice personnel, could‘ve been a little more alert with refilling the water boiler

Final Thoughts: Definitely a nice spot to stay for a while, but only if you‘re actually relaxing and not online 24/7 🤭 Besides missing WiFi in rooms further away from the main rooms the mobile connection was also not reliable - although this has the side effect of being able to meet other guests in the living area, that are also looking for WiFi.

Very beautiful rooms, small but modern and in a calm environment. Feels very homey. The view from the rooms is incredible.
The owner is very welcoming and nice.

Very clean, tidy lodgings, but the doors let to much light in. This made it so you couldn't totally darken the room which made it hard to get some good sleep. Breakfast was good tho there was some very nice freshly baked bread available.

Very isolated and quiet with views of river and mountains was originally a fishing lodge with great history. They checked us in early and made us feel at home as weather was very bad. Small but cosy rooms great food from local farm. Expensive but really enjoyed our brief stay.
