What an amazing place, stayed for 2 nights as a mini get away. The rooms are modern, clean and well maintained, showers are hot and plenty of pressure. Only criticism is that there are no tea or coffee facilities in the rooms... Not a problem if you in the main house but for us in the lodge rooms, in really bad weather that we had, it made it a big ordeal to get a drink (hence the 4 stars rather than...

We visited in March 2025. The check-in was easy and quick, the room was clean and the breakfast was nice. However, our room wasn’t very quiet: the wind outside was very loud and you could also hear the other visitors in the house sometimes. Because of that, I would recommend earplugs. Other than that, it was fine & we enjoyed our stay.

What a beautiful setting for an inn. We stayed 3 nights in August 2025, obviously the overall construction wasn’t finished on the site but our unit was perfect and we were not disturbed by any construction while we were there. The hotel boasts a beautiful golf course, which is a pleasant place to stroll around after breakfast in the morning, leaving you feeling refreshed. Dinner is also delicious. Although the hotel is not in the town center, it is perfect for a vacation. The only drawback is that the bathrooms are relatively small.

Staying at this hotel on the way back to Reykjavik from the Snæfellsnes Peninsula is a great option, as the surrounding environment is beautiful. I booked the wrong room initially, but the hotel changed it readily via email, and the service was excellent. They even have a shared hot tub and sauna! 👍 You can cook in the village house, but it's not as spacious as a guesthouse. The breakfast selection was very extensive!

Clean, new cabin near the water. Bedding was comfortable, the bathroom was clean and functional, and the small equipped kitchenette was nice. The breakfast was good but not great.

I stayed for two nights in a modern cabin close to the beach, which I think they refer to as a "luxury cottage". Friendly staff, clean & comfortable room with kitchenette including a microwave and mini fridge. A simple but filling breakfast each morning at the main building was included in the price. Brilliant! I would stay here again.

First I would like to mention that we stayed in the cottage, so my review is about it. Easy check in. The property is 5 minutes from town on a beach area, so there nothing around. We loved it. The room overlooking the bay on the ground floor is just fantastic and what a view. Fab sunset, Aurora Borealis if your lucky. The restaurant is just superb and we had lovely food, even vegetarian. had great options.

Strongly recommendable: Family run restaurant and hotel, with excellent food well presented. Fish soup is amazing and the burger was delicious as well, and the only good espresso we had in 10 days on Iceland! Amazing. They also have fish buffets with all you can eat for dinner. Really recommendable and worth having lunch or dinner.

Very clean, tidy lodgings, but the doors let to much light in. This made it so you couldn't totally darken the room which made it hard to get some good sleep. Breakfast was good tho there was some very nice freshly baked bread available.

A great place, isolated and quite but still 7 minutes drive from the town of Borgarnes (a VERY small town, pretty much empty after 8pm). The hotel offers an included breakfast and a dinner service. The hottest and best furnished apartment ever

It is an ideal place. He does not lack detail to the house. Everything is very clean and new. They leave you a great breakfast. They have even hair iron in the bathroom. It is the accommodation that I liked most of all Iceland. I would go back without hesitation.

We stayed one night at this hotel, the hotel is family run & is staffed. They have a hot tub & sauna available as well. The rooms are quiet, clean & cozy. Nothing super amazing about this hotel but decent. The views are pretty good from here as a river runs beside & they have a nice fountain out front. They didn't shovel the snow until much later in the day. Ample parking here for free.

I was very satisfied with everything. I only wanted to stay here for one night when I made the reservation. When I arrived, it exceeded my expectations. This is the hotel with the largest and best rooms during my 10 days in Iceland.

The room is clean, very strange is that there is also an escape iron ladder, (it is obvious that the height can jump directly to the window), the grandfather cordially greets, and provides a 40-degree hot spring pool.

The rooms are fine, but in this month of February, the heating is just adequate. Einar is really sweet and will make you taste Icelandic specialties if you wish !! We had a great night there and I recommend the place.

Hotel was clean and nice. Location is 1.5hr away to Vik etc but was a great stop for us coming down from the north. Didn’t manage to see any aurora here as the weather was cloudy.

The food at the restaurants wasn’t great — way too salty and seasoned and the vegan option had no protein. Easy location — 2 hours from the airport and the drive was scenic.

Good and quiet. Room is not quite ready as the shampoo & shower gel had ran out and was not replaced. Otherwise, good Fosshotel level of service and rooms. Happy hour from 4-6pm, 900ISK for Gull draft beers. Wine pairing- mega pint of wine served. Haha

The stay was pleasant. The room was quite large and the bed comfortable! All in all, it was a successful stay.

Really lovely hotel. Everything great, only downside was the location. We hadn’t realised how far out it was from everything. Great for seeing northern lights but at least a 2 hour drive to lots of the popular sights.

Lovely hotel in a stunning location. Very family friendly with farm animals on the doorstep. Hot tub that's open 24hrs and an outdoor covered fireplace for those chilly evenings when you want to sit round a real fire. Not a luxury hotel but that's not what we were after.

Difficult to find a single fault with our stay here in May 2022. Comfortable rooms and nice shower. Wonderful outdoor hot tub overlooking the beautiful scenery. Helpful staff and a tasty menu for both dinner and breakfast. A great rest and some long drives and hikes.

This place is a must stay!!! This has been our only stay 100% worth the price. The rooms are the biggest we have stayed in Iceland, you get a pretty bug bathroom as well. There is a fire pit, hot tubs, and animals. They staff is extremely friendly and nice. The food here was absolutely delicious as well, and the steaks are from the farm! I definitely recommend this place.

2 couples, one single room and shared toilet. We had a good night sleep, the place is quite and well positioned. It's possible to use the living rooms and the kitchen at the ground floor. The house has also a private parking lot, with two different entrances. In general a nice place where to stay.

Wonderful place. This is an ancient priests'house remodeled as a guest house. It is beautifully decorated and very quiet. It has a nice shared kitchen with free goods (oil salt rice tea coffee...) Definitely worth the price ❤

Rooms are clean, two bathrooms are in the house. Rooms are on the floor which is accesible by steep stairs. Beds are okay, but mattress is very soft. One smaller refrigerator is for guests. Three towels provided is big plus.

Absolut friendly hosts! Because of Corona we had the whole apartment for us alone.

Super great people!! Very cosy warm atmosphere and everything is shining clean. When we arrived we got some dinner tips and where to find what in town. There is even a breakfast basket in the fridge that you can eat and a fully equiped kitchen. Our 11the place we booked in Iceland during our road trip and I can really recommend this guesthouse to book, five stars without a doubt!

The accommodation is very nice and clean and it has a home feel to it, kitchen is fully stacked with all you need for cooking and there is ample parking space in the yard. It's our 15th day in Iceland. Teigur is the best guess house we've stay. The price is reasonable and you will find its a really guest "house". You will have everything like your home. It's only 2 rooms, so you won't share living room, kitchen, bathroom with too many people. And it's about 40 mins drive to Reykjavik. If you are lucky, you might see aurora in the lighthouse. It's really amazing.

My husband loved this place. It’s always hard to rate these types of places because everybody’s looking for something different and it is very casual here. We loved how casual it was. The rooms were so cool. I would’ve loved to have had time to hide the area. We were very pleased with this place and would stay here again.
