Leonardo Hotel Tiberias in Tiberias

I booked this hotel after seeing many positive reviews and was really looking forward to my stay. Unfortunately, my experience didn’t match what I expected.

When I arrived, the lobby wasn’t very clean, but I hoped the room would be better. Sadly, the room had a strong smell of cigarettes, a clogged toilet, and dirty furniture. I spoke with the front desk, and the manager kindly offered to show me another room, but that one had similar issues. He then told me I could cancel and receive a full refund, which I agreed to.

I was told the refund would take up to 14 days, but after waiting, nothing came through. When I called to follow up, it was difficult to reach the right person, and I was disconnected several times. Eventually, I had to dispute the charge with my bank, and the dispute was approved. However, a few weeks later, my bank reversed the refund because the hotel did not agree to issue it.

Overall, I was disappointed — not only by the room conditions, but also by how the situation was handled afterward. I hope management takes this feedback seriously and improves both cleanliness and communication with guests.

The hotel was disappointing and overpriced for what we received. On the positive side, the front desk staff were polite and friendly, and the lobby looked fine. However, the dining room was overcrowded—we couldn’t even eat there because of the long wait. There were no chairs or sofas near the elevators, so waiting was uncomfortable.

We did manage to have breakfast, and that was actually very good—the food was delicious, with plenty of variety. Unfortunately, the rest of the stay fell short. We booked a suite, but the bathroom door was broken, and the floor had visible scratches. The pool was very small, and in the toddler pool the door was stuck. Even worse, one of the glass fences around it was broken, which felt unsafe.

Overall, it was a big disappointment and definitely not worth the high price.

Absolutely the worst hotel. NEVER stay here

1- place is a total mess with dirt on the floor, random mattresses thrown in the hallway and best of all poop on the floor of the hallway which was never cleaned up despite me asking 19 times
2- Amnon the manager has a hard job because he knows the place is terrible. But he's a real jerk and yells at his customers for explaining the many issues of the hotel and claims he fixes things but does not
3- I've added photos including the poop on the floor

There is no parking, no path to the beach, tiny pool, tiny lobby.

The food was good with a lot of food selections.
