Boutique & spa Sirenahotel in Gabicce Mare

We ordered two rooms and kindly asked about possible later check-in (after the midnight). We didn’t get any response from the hotel even though we tried to reach them more times for the whole time. We had a long journey and it was very difficult for us to predict the exact time of arrival - we informed the hotel about the situation. First response we got, came at 9pm the day of the planned arrival - the information was we had to come till midnight and later check-i was not possible. I asked again about possible change, explaining our situation - the response from the hotel was that there is no possibility to check-in later and they cancelled our stay in the middle of the night. It meant we had to sleep in the car with 4 kids, one of them small baby. On the top of that they kept the money we paid for our stay in advance and didn’t want to return them back even after the request. I don’t think this business model can last for long. And I would strongly recommend to avoid this place. I travel a lot and such thing never happened to me before. Really bad experience./// Reaction to the hotel response: I have to react what the hotel wrote - unfortunately they are not writing the truth - 1) I tried to contact the hotel via phone before our arrival few times - no answer, just short messages via chat late in the evening even though I tried to contact them the day before, 2) I asked booking.com for possibility to return the money, they said they contacted the hotel and the hotel refused to give back the money (yes, it was booked under the non-refundable conditions but in many cases you can get your money back even in this situation - it depends on the accommodation.) 3) the response on google reflects exactly the way hotel communicates - mentioning my phone number publicly is the GDPR rules violation which I find very unprofessional. Nevertheless it is everyone’s choice if he goes there or not, I would strongly recommend not to.
