Elefantino Grey - FAMILY HOTEL in Milano Marittima

Very bad experience, old rooms, dirty towels… definitely not worth the price. We arrived at the place around 1:30PM waiting till 3PM to check in and checked out soon after this after we were shocked by the actual appearance of the hotel, after seeing the misleading pictures on Booking, and how unsafe we felt there as a group of 4 girls! When we went to check out very calmly because we had found another place to go to where we can feel more comfortable and safe, we were welcomed by pretty rude service from a male receptionist. At the same time we heard some of the other guests complaining and considering checking out so this receptionist was irritated and took out his anger on us by handling our checkout impolitely. Of course, we were not offered any refund, even though we had clear reasons to check out and we only stayed in the room for not even half an hour. Save your time and money and do not go there!

For 530 eur for 2 nights , this hotel does not worth one dime.
In reality it is a 2 star hotel.
The rooms are very small, you feel like in the summer camp. Dust and lack of clean appliances. The A/C works like an old V8 .
Balcony doors that close just to stay close / outside noises in the room.
We paid less in Venice with much better conditions.
In a nutshell, you fell like 1970’s without any upgrades nor resorations🙁

This is not a 3 star hotel, but rather a 2 star guesthouse which is old, dirty and absolutely not according to the photos and the descriptions.

This hotel DOES NOT have a swimming pool shown on the photos.
This hotel DOES NOT have a child swimming pool shown on the photos.
This hotel IS NOT beach front.
This IS NOT a baby friendly hotel, the only thing for the babies is an old plastic play castle on concrete floor.
The photos of the rooms DO NOT reflect the reality, the rooms look completely different.

We wanted to book a nice place with breakfast and swimming pool for our vacation in Italy. This place seemed like a good choice with decent rating here on Booking and with nice photos of the pool and rooms. We were shocked by the reality and mostly by the fact they are advertising the pool in photos and in description. The pool is completely offsite, 500 meters away from the hotel, and most importantly it is absolutely unrelated to the hotel, it is a private pool where you have to pay €30 for 1 day entry. This is €150 for our 5 nights reservation, which was basically half of the total price for the accommodation.

When we found out in the morning, we immediatelly complained with the manager of the hotel at the reception. He agreed and offered us to pay 1 night of accommodation that we stayed and that they will refund us the remaining 4 nights if we move out immediately. We happily agreed, packed our stuff, and were gone before 11 AM. Then a total nightmare started.

After we moved out, the hotel suddenly said they will not refund us. I spent 5+ hours on calls with Booking.com who repeatedly tried to contact the hotel owner and get approval for this refund. He refused every single time, despite all the promises they gave use. I returned to the hotel and spent 3+ hours arguing with them what is going on, even calling police with absolutely no resolution. They still owe use €280 to this day and totally ruined our vacation. Avoid!

very bad value for money, definitely not a 3 star hotel
