Reviews
But everything was positive. The hidden location, besides being close to the beach, is also quiet because it's away from the road. The staff was extremely friendly, the rooms were always clean. The waitresses, despite not speaking much Italian, were eager to serve us in the best possible way. The food was good, with generous portions. I highly recommend it.
Now for the negatives...
The room was obscene. Walls in need of repainting, a wardrobe with broken drawers that couldn't be pulled out... a broken electrical outlet in the bathroom, incredibly uncomfortable beds and unsuitable pillows, and above all, no place to hang out clothes, which we know full well is essential at the seaside with two children... the quote said a window with a side sea view and an internal courtyard view, well, there wasn't a courtyard view, there was only a window. The sea was far away, but the view was of the restaurant hall of the hotel opposite, so the shutters were always closed. I emphasize "window," because above the camp bed there was a window that looked out onto a balcony with a drying rack attached. I can only imagine the contortions of trying to hang out the clothes. Once the clothes pegs fall, you can say goodbye, because you risk breaking something trying to retrieve them. For example, I had to ask for a broom to try to retrieve a swimsuit.
But that's nothing... the restaurant, embarrassing...
I had half board, well, it was the first year I didn't gain a pound on vacation. I've never eaten so badly in Romagna. The menu was poorly thought out, some evenings felt like I was in the hospital. My daughters, who eat everything, spent a week eating plain pasta, pitiful.
The musical evening was a nightmare. During dinner, I think people, or at least my family, wanted to talk. Well, impossible. From the appetizer on, the music was too loud and the vocalist was too heavy. I really didn't appreciate it, quite the opposite...
It never happened to me that at 8:45 in the morning, several times I found the cleaning ladies opening the door to my room while I was changing... absurd.
The photos on the website have nothing to do with reality.
Lastly, the managers... very cold, it almost seemed like we were a nuisance...
So, to make a long story short, avoid it.
Bathroom with small, uncomfortable shower
Air conditioning, dated furnishings
Sea view (surcharge)
Lobby, bar, and very kitsch common room
Direct entrance to the promenade and beach
Large dining room, tables too close together in my opinion.
Good breakfast buffet, with little savory and plenty of sweets, including homemade.
Juices in a jug (I think diluted)
Based on the fact that I drank sparkling ones one morning...
Coffee from a bar, a wide selection of croissants
Appetizers for lunch and dinner were the same, mostly vegetables: corn, beans, courgettes, eggplant, etc.
(Ideal for vegans.)
Not a trace of cheese.
All the first courses were bland
Except for spaghetti with clams.
Octopus and potatoes...you couldn't even see the octopus.
Dishes were a bit too revisited.
Paid parking. €5 per day
Beach included, obviously, in the back rows.
The affiliated bar 23 is not recommended. The price is sky-high, two coffee creams are €10.
Friendly, professional staff, and a clean environment.
Ideal for disabled guests due to its proximity to the beach and elevator.
The service is always attentive, friendly, and welcoming; we felt welcomed like family.
The food is excellent, plentiful, and varied, with simple, authentic dishes that made us feel at home. The location is perfect, right on the sea and ideal even with a small child.
A special thank you to the owners and their sweet little daughter, always kind and available, but also a big hello to all the staff: from the meticulous cleaning ladies to the attentive and helpful waitresses.
Honestly, reading some of the negative reviews, I struggle to understand what they're referring to: for a three-star hotel, the hotel is immaculately maintained, welcoming, and well-managed... even more than we expected!
And I say this sincerely: it's rare that I feel so comfortable in a hotel, but here I felt warmth, simplicity, and genuine attention.
Highly recommended for those seeking a peaceful, authentic, and family-friendly vacation. We'll be happy to return!
All the hotel rooms were very clean.
The dining room staff were very courteous, the food was good. The owners were very welcoming and friendly, and little Vittoria was a lovely girl.
Thanks to all the staff.
We will definitely be back.
