Sea Lion Hotel

If there was a -5 stars I would assign it! I have dreamed to get married in this hotel for years. I've followed them on their website and I've imagined myself walking under the long white construction that they have in the back many many times. My family and friends would have stayed for a week or few days to have a mini vacation as well. The wedding would have been in September 2027, plenty of time. My Dream Wedding was crushed this morning when I finally went to ask information about having the wedding there, by a lady at the reception called Gessica. She was very bothered by me asking questions about a wedding staged on the back of the hotel and turned me away saying that she didn't have time for me and the wedding wasn't possible. She broke my heart. I really hope that they realise that Miss Gessica just turned away at least €20.000/30.000 of business. I'm from Pescara but I live in UK, and all my friends and my partner's family and friends would have definitely booked rooms for that week, and we are talking about 140/150 ppl. I can't believe how bad and superficially I was treated and how arrogantly I was turned away. We will be having the wedding at the Hotel Promenade, right beside it, because they were so nice and so friendly, and gave us a beautiful tour of the place and then we fixed the next appointment! I hope that Sea Lion will be completely empty that September 2027, while we will be right beside them having the time of our life! Thank you Gessica.

We booked this hotel for 9 nights, from August 18, 2023 to August 27, 2023. In the first night an extremely noisy event (which we understood from the Reception when we complained is a DAILY event between 20:00-24:00) from the nearby hotel. No one from the hotel warned us about this. Also, this was not mentioned in the description of the hotel on the website. When we talked about this at the reception, they did not offer any solution. They knew about this problem. They said that they will try to give us another room in a few days, but an worse room that the one we paid for. We checked out the next day. The other negative aspects which are misleading in the description are: Wifi is very poor, room is too small for queen size bed (the balcony door hit the bed, bedside table furniture missing on the balcony side of the bed, balcony without privacy separators, fish smell on staircase at the day of our arrival very scarce breakfast (the day at our checkout and departure). During the breakfast, waiting in line for somebody to slice cheese and ham, waiting in line for somebody to prepare eggs. (Nobody there for the 20 minutes we took breakfast). It seems that Sea Lion Hotel retained the Covid 19 restrictions which benefit their side and limit tourists services, fitness and Spa are out of work, but they marketed it as they offer these sevices. This hotel is a 3 hotel at best, not as it is listed, as a 4 hotel with a rate of 190 euro/night!!! Of course, they don't want to reimburse the money. Not vegan frandly. Nothing to eat in brekfest. The shawer is a very bad jok. There is no place to stand. There is a strange device for the shower that doesn't work with a chair that takes most of the shower so I had to stand on the edge unable to move for fear of falling.
