Morris B&B in Bari

I have travelled to many places in the world and I am now confident that this was the worst place I have ever payed to sleep in. This so called Bed and Breakfast is called BB21, which probably is Italian and means ”disaster”. When you arrive - if you manage to find it - you have to first wait for someone who lives in the same house to open the door for you. After having climbed up the seven floors, you have to call a number on the door. After having waited for way too long i a steaming hot staircase a person shows up. He introduces himself nicely, shows you around, show you how the air-condition works, how the showers work and how you can use the wifi. NOT. There’s no aircondition, the showers does not work and they spray water everywhere and there’s no Wi-Fi what so ever. The promised flat screen TV’s just doesn’t exist. The room has yet to be cleaned, and next to the bed lies some cigarette buds and empty beer bottles. The sheets are stained with whatever body fluids the guests from last night could produce in a night. The room is painted is NEON-green, which is a color that should have been forbidden centuries ago. Imagine a worn-out brothel in Bangkok in the 90s and you get an idea. The anonymous person that - we think - work there gives you the keys and before you have had the chance to say ”airborne parasites” you are kindly asked to go and take out a shamefully high amount of money to pay for your visit. The second you leave your cash the guy disappears and never comes back.
I am no expert on Mediterranean climate but an estimation would be that the room temperature without AC at night is about a thousand degrees celsius. When you wake up in the middle of night in your own sweat - fearing for your life - you have of course a chance to crawl out to the balcony to seek valuable oxygen and cooler winds. Remember that in order to to this you must clean the balcony from all the trash and old building material that is left there. If you are a brave one and dares to enter the dirty bathrooms that could potentially give you a full encyclopedia of STDs - bring your own toilet paper, because there are none in there.

Terrible. Dirty rooms, bathrooms with broken fixtures, garbage still in the bin, moldy food in the kitchen. The rooms were not sanitized, and the air conditioning didn't work.
