HB Albergo Lamanna in Taranto

I stayed at this hotel for three days, and in my personal experience, it was one of the most disappointing stays I've ever had.
In my opinion, the manager's welcome was unfriendly and at times even aggressive. She seemed more interested in showing off the hotel's technological systems than in demonstrating care and respect for guests.
During a brief exchange, the manager even dared—in a tone I perceived as mocking—to call me an "improvised manager" simply because I said I knew the standard check-in procedures. This was an inappropriate and disrespectful comment, made without any knowledge of my actual job or skills.
Upon arrival, I reported some issues in the room, which were promptly resolved, but no cleaning was performed in the following days: no bed was made, no bathroom sanitized, and no towels were changed, despite having been left for collection. I also noticed that the towels themselves were simply rehung, including the bidet towels.
When I reported the situation via text message (since there was no staff present), I received a response that, in my opinion, was unprofessional and accusatory. Only later did I learn that there had been a room swap, but I received no apology for the mix-up.
When my husband and I asked for clean towels, the manager—again, in my opinion—reacted disproportionately, with an arrogant and aggressive attitude, even going so far as to order us to leave the hotel.
I found this behavior offensive, inappropriate, and contrary to any principle of hospitality towards guests.
In conclusion, I strongly advise against staying at this property. In my opinion, technology and modernity are worthless if those who manage a hotel don't understand the meaning of respect, politeness, and professionalism.
RESPONSE TO THE HOTEL:
I would like to point out that in my travel contract (which I have via email), I purchased a STANDARD room without breakfast, but with daily room cleaning and towel changes every two days (this was also written by you and saved in the WhatsApp chats). For all other incidents that occurred and were described in a false and offensive manner, we will discuss them in the appropriate forums.

My husband and I went through all sorts of nightmares with the owner, but the most surreal moment was when she arrived at our room at 1 AM counting the money and telling us to go. And no, we didn't offend her, or family, or ancestors, we were complaining about the heat in the rooms and how she wouldn't let us turn on the air conditioner because of the brilliant excuse that the machine was cleaned during the night 😏 and yeah, it like 32ºC at night and we didn't even had a fan at the room!

Anyways, I could go on and on with all the brilliant stories we are now able to share with our friends but you've got the message.

What can I say. The crazy woman ruined our holidays. Avoid at all cost. Don't trust the ratings.
