Palazzo Senape de Pace in Gallipoli

Very cool
Great history of 1500s palce built for nobility. The owner is a 97 year old descendent. Sophie was very helpful. Breakfast was brilliant on the rooftop deck with an amazing view. All of the common spaces are wonderful to explore and enjoy.

5 stars are not enough. We booked five nights , via our travel agency , in this beautiful property. You need to find parking at the harbor because the B&B is in the ZTL ( limited traffic area). At the harbor there are two sections . One is free parking while the other one per hour rate. The B&B is less than two minutes far from one of the most typical public beach in Gallipoli called Spiaggia Della Purita'. The sea is beautiful, the beach clean and quite. You can rent chairs and umbrella right there ( euro 15 for 2 chairs and one umbrella, in September ). The B&B , property, located in a super quite street because there are not restaurants , stores or other businesses activities. This is important because, at night , you can sleep very well. Restaurants are walking distance, 2 to 8 min average. Forget about the car while in Gallipoli . The property has a beautiful rooftop from which you can enjoy the beauty of Gallipoli and admire the outstanding su sunset. Rooms are clean and with a.c. The breakfast is served on the rooftop. The menu is simple but delicious. Yogurts, cereal , fresh fruit and delicious pastries prepared in a local bakery. Would we repeat and recommend ? Absolutely yes.

A gorgeous place with stunning architecture, comfortable accommodations, kept immaculately clean and inviting. Within a stone's throw of dozens of restaurants, bars, shops, churches, and the Spiaggia della Purità. Excellent value. The staff is friendly and helpful without being overbearing. This palazzo and this city have stolen my heart with the breathtaking views, local food, and magnificent climate.
If you don't care to walk, bear in mind that this town of the Centro Storico is primarily pedestrian with its beautiful crooked cobblestone streets, too narrow for many vehicles.
If you don't know any Italian, please be advised that it would benefit you VERY MUCH to learn some before visiting this area in general. Do not expect the locals to be well-versed in English like they may be in more tourist-y areas of the north of Italy or other countries. If one can overcome the language barrier it makes for a more enjoyable trip. I hope to visit again some day and would return here for lodging 100%!

Good location, very kind staff, excellent cleaning, Sonia is the one who manages this structure with professionalism and a smile, even if a little dated but still well cared for, I highly recommend it to those who want to spend a relaxing holiday while being in full swing. heart of Gallipoli
