Il Santavenere in Maratea

Such a beautiful hotel and location! The staff is also so friendly! We are already planning our trip back!

Top notch 5 star service and very cute boutique hotel set on a beautiful piece of land! The landscape and view is impeccable and the private beach is so enchanting! I definitely need to come back again! Parking available and walking distance to the port town for a meal

This would have been a 5 star review but we had an issue with our room and the way it was handled by the head manager at first. He did sort it in the end but it was painful. We rejected room 19 (deluxe) on arrival due to the smell of bleach in the room (perhaps something to do with equipment for the nearby swimming pool - a guess) & the fact it was a bit tatty. We ended up in room 111 (premier - 1 down from the deluxe room we booked but highly recommended). Exquisite views and all other staff were absolutely wonderful. Great breakfast and nice restaurant for dinner. There is a good alternative restaurant a short walk from the hotel and several options in the local town Maratea (€20 taxi ride each way)

From start to finish our stay was absolutely exceptional - it truly felt like a fairytale.
Every staff member we dealt with was incredibly helpful & professional ( special shout out to Roberta)
We ate in the restaurant which was a fantastic experience and the breakfast is genuinely out on its own!
We are already planning our next trip to Santavenere ☺️

Stunning setting, very comfortable accommodation and lovely people. The private beach is great, and it and the gardens beautifully maintained.
