Simply superb! We will be back best accommodation I’ve ever stayed in ( we are in our early 59’s and travelled a lot). This is understated professional elegance. Beautiful quiet location in the Mediterranean.

Hotel Santavenere is a unique property in the Gulf of Policastro, part of The Leading Hotels of the World. Comfortable rooms, excellent restaurant, and beautifully maintained common areas. The staff are always kind, helpful, and professional. With the view of the Christ the Redeemer, the stay becomes truly unforgettable. Highly recommended!

We spent 5 nights here for our honeymoon and had an incredible stay/experience. The hotel itself was magnificent and decorated in a classic style. The staff were super friendly and went above and beyond to make sure every need was met. The choice of pool or beach kept things fresh every day, and the walkways down the cliffs to the shore were an excellent opportunity to see the local wildlife. We’re not usually beach people, but this one kept us coming back for more The food and dining experience was excellent. Although, it was slightly overpriced. Could have done with some cheaper lunch options especially within the hotel grounds. That said, there was a selection of local restaurants to give you the choice which was great. We enjoyed a couples massage during our stay. This was also brilliant and very relaxing. The Spa facilities were nice, but we opted to skip these as they also felt slightly overpriced. All in all though, a fantastic stay and great choice for the honeymoon. Would recommend :)

We have traveled extensively and been to many beautiful spots. This hotel is 5 stars all the way. Incredible attentive service. Gorgeous views... Beach and pool... Tennis and bocce. This place had it all. Definitely in our top 5 places in the world

A Timeless Gem in Maratea

From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed and instantly felt at home. The property is stunning—spacious, beautifully maintained, and full of charm. We especially loved the private rocky beach with crystal-clear turquoise water—a rare find.

The hotel carries a vintage 50s–60s vibe but is well-updated for comfort. Though we didn’t get to use it this time, the tennis court was a nice bonus. Overall, a peaceful, elegant retreat that we can’t wait to return to.

There was a small miscommunication about sunscreen availability at the beach club—we were charged ( 59 euro for the sunscreen) at checkout without prior notice- as we thought they provide sunscreen when we asked for it at the beach. ( lost in translation 😛) It didn’t affect our experience, but clearer communication would have been appreciated.

Staff were lovely, warm, and helpful throughout. A true hidden gem—highly recommended for a relaxed, upscale getaway.

Top notch 5 star service and very cute boutique hotel set on a beautiful piece of land! The landscape and view is impeccable and the private beach is so enchanting! I definitely need to come back again! Parking available and walking distance to the port town for a meal
