Staff was very kind and helpful. The hotel location is far from the city centre and no good places to eat. There was a convenience store at the gas station called Autogrill which was open and had limited options.

This was an amazing place to stay in the heart of the Sassi. The breakfast was very nice with many options and the dinner we had there was equally good. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The shower was the nicest we had on our two week trip. Appreciated a safe available in the room.

We opted for the cave room! The room is very well appointed. It features a French window and small windows in the bathroom. The pool is amazing. We had a car, which we parked without any issues via Lucana.

Steer clear of the smallest room type – it has no windows and was quite musty. Upgrading to a suite, however, was a complete game-changer! The service was exceptional; they catered to our every need. The hotel's location is unbeatable.

We stayed here as a couple for a 3 night stay . The hotel is absolutely spotless clean ! Rooms are cleaned everyday and fresh towels . Beds are quite hard though ! Pillows also. . Great luxurious hotel, lots of space inside an on the beach so it is not crowded at all even in July. Located inside a high end gated community with a private marina. Access to the beach is also limited and the beach is vast. The pool area is small and not recommended as it is no wind there so it gets very hot. Just take a free golf cart ride to the beach.

Staff at the hotel were great. We stayed 2 nights and it was very hot. Unfortunately the air con can’t cool the old building when it is this hot. So room was quite warm. Staff provided fans. Also jacuzzi pool is not complementary. Lovely old building though, easy to find etc.

We have mobility issues so they arranged a tour of Matera for us in an Apecar (Tuktuk) The service was either great (picking us up at the garage) to poor (not answering the phone at check-out time, telling me after I carried my own luggage 500 feet down 20 rough stone steps that there was another desk to call, not telling us we'd have to climb 50 of stone steps...

Stayed just two days here, the views are amazing!! Matera is beautiful. The A/C was poor at best, the shower very small. Could not get a table at the restaurant, unfortunately. Breakfast was great.

I had dinner here once and coffee a number of times. Dinner was by father the best I had in Bernalda. Atmosphere, decor and music was divine. And outside seating was my favourite in Bernalda for musing and people watching. The only thing that would have made me like this place more was if the jukebox have been working, which apparently it will be soon!

This is a one-of-a-kind property that exceeds expectations on all dimensions. A jaw dropping gorgeously restored villa that dates back to the late 1800’s. The food, management and staff all are perfect. Literally planing our next visit as we walk out the gate. 10/10.

Palazzo Margherita was an amazing stay - I didn't want to leave! The staff are so helpful and kind, the food is amazing (especially the potatoes) and the rooms were so nice! First clients after 18 months of closing and the experience was fabulous… never seen a service and palazzo like this one. So peaceful. We came 2 nights to have a break just after our wedding in Puglia, and the staff was so welcoming. Its a 5* experience, but you feel like at home. Breakfast is very good. The hotel is very close to the city center. You can reach everywhere by walking. The hotel is an old hotel and has not been renovated. Despite this, it is clean, tidy and in good condition. It has an authentic structure. Almost everything is wood. The breakfast is sufficient, the staff is friendly and everywhere is clean. Also, the price is reasonable.
