Hotel Antares in Cattolica

Like all the holidays I have spent with the family, this year too we were looking for a place that could convince us.
So we chose the Antares hotel.
The rooms are equipped with a small bathroom with shower, mini fridge, TV, air conditioning, and a balcony. Unfortunately there are no sockets near the beds, we only found one!!!
There is also an elevator, small but useful if you don't want to walk three floors.
Coming out of the lift you will find the front reception on the left, the hotel entrance and the lounge on the right.
Unfortunately, for my taste, the first tables set up near the reception are not nice to look at, also because anyone who eats there is observed by anyone coming out of the stairs or the lift.
Breakfast is ensured by an excellent presence of croissants, tarts, cured meats, etc..
For both lunch and dinner, in the dining room, there is a buffet with trays of all the dishes, both grilled and boiled, sometimes repetitive with few novelties. I would have expected some vegetable quiche, something with boiled potatoes, one more idea wouldn't have hurt.
Negative note, which bothered me a lot, was the hasty serving of the first course after sitting down. I often found myself with the starter not even finished together with the first course as soon as it was served. At least give the diner the opportunity to finish eating.
The beach is located a few minutes from the hotel.
Unfortunately the sea has reserved a nasty surprise: mucilage. But we found two nice solutions to the problem.
The first was the swimming pool on the beach, which was crowded.
The second and most beautiful, the swimming pool inside the hotel, with hydromassage and waterfall.
In short, a relaxing holiday.

There are few certainties in life, one of which is that from this year we will be regular customers whenever we are in Romagna (it will happen once a year). ***star hotel, 20 meters from the sea. The skill and friendliness of all the staff make this place unforgettable from all points of view. An indisputable experience. I've traveled a lot in my life, but I put this place at the top of the list. The excellent cuisine, never seen anywhere, fish cared for, clean and cooked to perfection like here. We stayed with full board: from sweet and savory breakfast, to lunch and dinner with a vegetable buffet, first course, second course and side dish, dessert (coffee and drinks excluded). Really good at cooking. And with my palate, I can say it out loud. Always helpful and kind, especially with our 10 month old daughter. Goodbye Antares, you are in our heart and we will recommend this place to anyone who asks us how it went. See you soon

I stayed with a friend and 3 children from 06 to 09 June, they were 4 short but intense days.
ANTARES was a fantastic discovery, EXCELLENT LOCATION, EXCELLENT STAFF, EXCELLENT QUALITY/PRICE RATIO, but above all EXCELLENT FOOD!
Definitely, I'll be back as soon as I can!
