Hotel Escorial in Cervia

We stayed with our family, two adults and a 19-month-old baby.
The only positives were the location and the price.
As for the room, it was small but had everything we needed, except for the cleanliness. They could be more thorough and clean rather than just tidying up.
Terrible service in terms of reception; it was minimal during the miserable breakfast buffet, and you couldn't even take a piece of fruit because they said it had to be consumed at the table assigned to the room, and you couldn't take it so you could eat it at your leisure during the morning.
There is no ramp for strollers, and to avoid the steps at the entrance, you have to go through the laundry room, or -1, and from there take the elevator.
Parking is basic but available.
It's unclear what time the gate closes for access, as the first evening we returned after dinner at 11:30 PM and they were just closing it, while the next day it was already closed at 10 PM. They do, however, guarantee the reception is open.
When we got to the checkout, we paid by POS, and the lady was quite annoyed because they didn't accept cash.
For a weekend, it's sufficient, being really close to the beach. I wouldn't return, and I wouldn't recommend it due to the lack of empathy and the lack of a warm welcome—not even a smile. Working with the public, I would also consider this last point to be a significant one in this sector.

STRUCTURE NOT SUITABLE FOR PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES IN WHEELCHAIRS
I phoned on 18 June to book a double room for the weekend of 3/4 July 2021, I specify that I have called the structure directly since being disabled for € 100 in a wheelchair and doing a weekend with a friend of mine, I wanted to be sure to have all that is necessary to accommodate people in wheelchairs is available.
Obviously I specify my condition during the phone call and I also call the next day to ask for the name of the nearest bathing establishment in order to contact them too to make sure of the possibility of access to people with disabilities.
Saturday towards evening, after having spent the day on the beach, I arrive at the hotel and find myself in the gravel parking area and the wheelchair with the gravel stops, no indication for access for people with disabilities (the main entrance is only equipped with ladder).
the aforementioned path without stairs is located in the back and in the same there are several bicycle racks that make the path somewhat treacherous (twice I found myself a brake in the face) ... at the end of the path to enter the hotel there is 'a small rise that if I had stayed alone I would not have been able to pass.
full of the peaks I arrive in the room, and I find myself the bathroom is equipped with a floor-level shower, seat and grab bars, but a nice step to enter. Now I wonder how does a disabled person in a wheelchair get into the bathroom?
Moreover, the bed was positioned too close to the entrance to the bathroom so as not to have the space to carry out the "maneuvers" with the wheelchair.
The box around the shower did not close well therefore it was created a lot of wet outside and for a person in a wheelchair I can guarantee it slips much more.
To brush your teeth and face with the wheelchair, of course, in addition to passing over the wet with the wheels, you had to get stuck in the slight rise of the shower
In the morning I show up to settle the bill and I am asked for the amount of the tourist tax, when for the disabled there is no such tax.
I specify that I do not have to pay this tax and I say that I have all the certificates that attest to my disability but I am told they are only debt collectors and as such, any fines reach them.
I don't understand this because it is me who eventually declare something not true .. not the hotelier
The problem was obviously not the 3 euros but the principle.
However, I believe that the structure has been "arranged" to accommodate people with disabilities and NOT prepared
I personally do not recommend it for people in wheelchairs with motor disabilities, especially if they do not have a companion who can help.
I would have preferred more sincerity and honesty to my phone call
