Best Western Palace Inn Ferrara in Ferrara

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Best Western Palace Inn, which is ideally located close to all key attractions. The rooms were spacious, impeccably clean, and beautifully decorated, offering a pleasant view and a high level of comfort. Breakfast was freshly cooked to order and of excellent quality.

Most notably, the staff were exceptionally professional, welcoming, and attentive. Despite challenging circumstances, they consistently went above and beyond to ensure our stay was comfortable, always demonstrating genuine warmth and care. Their professionalism and hospitality truly made a difference. We had a very pleasant experience overall and would gladly recommend the hotel to others. We look forward to returning in the future.

À little bit far from the center, but you can use public transport. Nice place to stay

Positives:
Excellent staff from reception breakfast and cleaning of room
Great breakfast - suggest early as on one occasion little left BUT requested boiled eggs and no hesitation in providing
Suggestions:
Wifi was dropping out and long delays connecting (spoke to staff and was surprised but will look into it with provider) needs sorting out
Transport (bus) from hotel to city (2Kms) is very slow 30-40 minutes wait and no service after 8.30pm! Taxi from hotel to Castello around 10€
PS Roadhouse resturant next door provides a wide range menu - not bad
Close to Aldi if food / toiletries shopping required

The hotel’s about 2 km from Ferrara’s city center, a 25-40 min walk or a quick ride on bus #6, which stops nearby. Nearby Lidl and Aldi supermarkets and a lively steakhouse right next door add to the practicality.
The 85 rooms are modern, soundproofed, and hypoallergenic, equipped with 32-inch LCD TVs, free Wi-Fi, power showers, and coffee/tea makers. Guests rave about the cleanliness and comfy beds, though some mention the AC can be tricky to adjust. The breakfast buffet is a standout—loaded with homemade cakes, fruits, cheeses, meats, eggs, and gluten-free/vegetarian options for €9 if not included. Staff are friendly, multilingual, and quick to help with local tips or bookings.
Downsides? The distance from the city center might bug those without a car, and a few guests have noted minor maintenance issues like slow elevators or occasional power glitches. The gym’s basic, so don’t expect a fitness paradise.

Nice hotel with in room bathrooms (rare in this area). Small bar area. Delicious breakfast for an extra charge, around €8, totally worth it. Mini fridge, coffee maker, shave kit, safe, & soap all in room. Steakhouse next door, 2 grocery stores, & a Burger King in walking distance. Downtown Ferrara is 10-15 minute drive.

The hotel is very cost-effective. The most special thing is the bathroom. The barrier-free facilities are really convenient and the appliances are very new. Room size is medium. A kettle bar is also provided. The service of the front desk staff is very good. The hotel is located a little far from the train station. There is no pedestrian road at the door. It is not easy to walk to the hotel to bring the suitcase. The hotel is a chain management group with reliable service quality.

Everything was good and highly recommended.
